Hmm, based on the comments in this thread, I guess I should check out the manga.

As I know most manga(s) have better scenes, storylines, and characters than the anime counterparts. And yup, I did not find episode 3 emotional.

Oh, it definitely is different..the manga depicts the accident scene as much more brutal:

yup of all the sport anime, soccer is my favorite sport to watch though i am a die hard fan of tennis IRL. yea manga is always better, but i like how the anime is being executed so far.

next episode looks fun with the guy that suguru rivals to be fat and all.

only thing i don't like is the cliche of death to help push the main character to the end as a basis. he dies especially early. only disappointment; and i feel like its moving a lil fast, especially with the transfering of schools.

Ok thanks for the heads up Stark! I'll check out the manga and see for myself. I saw comments on another site that it's probably what happened in the middle school after the accident. So I was just curious.

Ya, the manga is definitely executed better now that I've read the accident scenes. I think someone mentioned before that it was a bit censored cause of the airing time period. So yes, in terms of storyline telling and visual art, I recommend the manga.

Interesting episode 5. Enrollment to the Enoshima High School definitely changes things as we are introduced alot of new characters specifically the FC soccer clubs:

Soccer FC (playing for fun) club:

Soccer SC (the elite?) club:

Also, Araki's appearance isn't what you think:

Next time, FC vs. SC. Dat soccer match.

SC - 2 FC - 1

SC - 3 FC - 1

Match continues till next week's episode.

Episode 7. The match continues. #10 Araki enters the game:

I find it amazing that he lost so much weight in such short time thou..wonder what diet he went on or his exercise routine

FC - 2, SC- 3

Kakeru uses the Run-With-The-Ball technique. It's explained in the video 11:41-11:53. It worked..oh wait:

Tied!!! 3-3

Final shot of the episode!!!

Sadly, it's a cliffhanger LOL. Stay tuned.

Latest episode 8! From the screenshot of the last episode, the ball is...

Afterwards, both SC and FC disbands and forms a union to represent Enoshima. However...they don't seem to be on good terms:

Now, to the main part of this episode. It seems that Seven (little witch) has a hard decision to make:

And......Araki is back, in the wrong way:

Next episode, there will be a training camp, Seven returning to the soccer, and might be some fanservice LOL

i was so sad when they killed off the brother in like episode 3 or something...
like i really wanted him to stay with the younger brother (i can't think of their names atm) but as i kept watching it, i was like this is like one of those typical sad, inspirational animes xP

Last two episodes have been better than a lot of the other ones. Nice to see the continuing little moments between Kakeru and Nana(I usually use the Seven nickname for her on another forum). Good to see the two seiyuu from Touch continue their roles as the women's captain and the women's coach. Hope they stick around for a while. Incidentally, I hope CR gets Touch and/or Cross Game some day.

Love to know if this will be 2 cours or 4 cours. It will be really interesting to see how the ratings of these last two episodes are(whether they stay above 1.0 or fall down like 0.2 for a few of those lesser quality episodes)
