![]() Synopsis In Bakemonogatari, the story centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student who has recently survived a vampire attack, and finds himself mixed up with all kinds of apparitions: gods, ghosts, myths, and spirits. However, in Nisemonogatari, we pick up right where we left off and follow Koyomi as the psychological twists delve deeper and deeper… Characters and Voice Actors Koyomi Araragi Voiced by: Hiroshi Kamiya Koyomi, the main character of the story, is a third year high school student who is close to failing every class except math. He is an ambidexter, because he usually uses his left hand, but he writes by the right hand. Other characters seems to speculate that Koyomi is a lolicon, particularly Mayoi and Hitagi, with Hitagi thinking that Nadeko is a 'threat' to her. Koyomi is the only person who thinks that his family relationship is bad, with Karen and Tsukihi thinking otherwise. Koyomi, Karen and Tsukihi's parents were also revealed to be police officers. Karen Araragi Voiced by: Eri Kitamura Karen, the main character of Karen Bee, is one of Koyomi's sisters. She's older than Tsukihi and always doing outdoor activities. Despite being younger, Karen is taller than Koyomi, much to Koyomi's dismay. In Karen Bee, her hot-headed personality and her habit of acting before thinking lead her to be stung by a bee which leads to being poisoned with a terrible fever that lasted for 3 days. Like Hitagi, she refused any help from anyone which eventually leads to her and Koyomi fighting each other. Tsukihi Araragi Voiced by: Yuka Iguchi Tsukihi, the main character of Tsukihi Phoenix, is one of Koyomi's sisters. She's the youngest of Araragi family. Unlike her sister, Karen, she is always doing indoor activities. Contrary to her personality, she constantly changes her hair style and is short-tempered to the point that Koyomi describes her as having hysteria. She is actually the reincarnation of a phoenix and has been since before she was even born. The phoenix entered the baby's body when it was still in the womb and by now both beings' minds have become one. She is immortal and the only thing that end her life is a natural death from old age. Hitagi Senjōgahara Voiced by: Chiwa Saitō She is in the same class as Koyomi, but she rarely speaks. While in her first year of high school, she encountered a mysterious crab, after which she became weightless. Ever since, she has avoided contact with everyone else, and threatens everyone who discovers her secret. Shinobu Oshino Voiced by: Maaya Sakamoto Shinobu is a girl who lives with Meme in the abolished building. She appears to be an eight year old girl, but she was originally a beautiful vampire who had lived for more than 500 years. Opening and Ending Opening: "Futakotome (二言目)" by Hitagi Senjougahara (Chiwa Saito) Ending: "Naisho no Hanashi (ナイショの話)" by ClariS Other Information Premiere: Saturday, January 7, 2012 @ 12:00 midnight Studio: SHAFT Primary network: Tokyo MX/Gunma TV/Tochigi TV (thanks to the TheAncientOne) First impressions? Ok so yes, the art is pretty much exactly similar to Bakemonogatari for those who have seen it. Word play is also used that are similar to C3. Personally, I think this series has potential. It's divided into separate story arcs that focuses on Koyomi Araragi and his sisters. The series has its comedy, drama, and psychological twists that probably reveals a deeper plot eventually. I'll continue watching. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide |

Hrm, from the subs - which seem very well done but I'm no Japanese speaker so I can't confirm - it seems there's a lot of foreshadowing...
Bee, bird (phoenix), "stings", and "flames." Hilarious as ever and there's nothing really to discuss besides that it has gorgeous art and hilarity in the dialogue. Considering that the show is mainly heavy dialogue, background imagery, subliminal message, it's going to be difficult to keep up with a few things. I think it's best for to continue on before drawing more conclusions about the show though. |

I like how they use word play alot to show background imagery although some of it does get a bit confusing. Pretty sure this series mainly follows the Koyomi Araragi's sisters so looking forward to that in later arcs. |

kjasdfsakldhjbkga It's finally here. I'll edit this later. And keep making those hit threads, stark. |

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

I can tell from the first episode I will love it just as much as the first series. I can't see where this show will go. The interactions between Araragi and the other characters are the best parts of the show. The animation looks pretty much the same. All the bright colors and strange camera angles are still there and I love it.

They've done before, so there is really no reason to expect that just because one box is all that remains now that will indeed be the last announcement. |

The fact that Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Dai-Ni-Maku has still been unconfirmed to stream on CR may hint the addition of another box although I am sure that it will take the 14th's "?" place. I wonder what the 15th "?" will be though if they do add something...probably delay stream. |

I'm guessing that Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of High School Boys) will be the next announcement, and Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Dai-Ni-Maku will be a latecomer. Given that the first series apparently did not perform that well on CR, CR is probably pulling for a lower MG for the series, and given that it clearly performed well enough in Japan for a second series, the licensor is probably less willing to grant it. They could be looking for a bundle deal with another series to make it more acceptable to both parties. If international licensing is handled by the same company as inside Japan, that other series would be Senhime Zesshou Symphogear. I would say there is a fair chance that CR will end up with 12 new series before the end of the month. My picks for the likely candidate for that are Symphogear (for reasons noted above) or Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai!. |

Op you forgot the obligatory :
KAREN DAZE! TSUHIKI DAYO! But this is pretty much what I expected, although I didn't like the fact they tried to copy stable staple and failing, OP was underwhelming. But otherwise Shaft's been pretty good, decent animation rathert than black and red screens everywhere, generous amount of service which is always nice. Would have liked more of Karen though seeing it is her arc but I'm OK with just some Mayoi for this ep. |
