When you're old..

(REGULAR THREAD PROCEDURES GO HERE)
------------------------------------

When you're old, what type of old person do you think you'll be?

Do you suspect you'll be grouchy? Stuck in 2001? The drunk who practically lives in your local bar? The indescribable dad on Frasier? He's awesome; there's one.

Everyone's different, blah. You know what I'm referring to. If not, I'm talking about those old people you give those one or two word descriptions to.

Anyway, I think I'll tell a lot of stories. Only, unlike now, most of them will not be true.

I like to think that, when I'm old, I will not have given up on life.

I like to think that I will continue to be an activist towards causes that I properly research and believe in strongly, and I like to think that I will stay relatively fit and not stop working out.

I like to think a lot of things, but I'll probably just end up sitting in a rocking chair waiting for the doctor to come.

I am diligently working to understand what her lips are actually saying. The closest is:

"I'm gonna marry him. You're dad." Anyone's two cents worth is welcome.

I'll be how I am now. Last minute man, taking it easy. I only hope that doesn't translate into pooping my pants.

I will keep being who I am now: An independent loner. But I also picture myself living in one of Maryland's counties, with a cat or a dog, and just living out the rest of my life in peace. Don't want no one bothering me.

This will sound like I'm putting myself down, but I think it's the truth:

Since I have no opportunities in this terrible society these days to land myself a woman, get married, and start a family, I decided that it's better this way. Who knows, will I still be playing a video game or watching an anime at that age? I know one thing I probably won't be on this place or facebook anymore.

I would simply like to look back on my life without regrets.

I'll probably be like my grandfather -- a shameless letch. Seriously, there are things that "grumpy old men" can get away with that a 30 year old never could. I'm not in a hurry, but I am looking forward to it.

Ok in all honesty, just one that exorcizes and keeps healthy that way heart attacks are less likely to come for me... hopefully.
