Probably transform from a bleeding heart liberal to a right-wing conservative.....yep, transition was over40 yrs ago when I became self-employed. When you're dealing with government on a daily basis this metamorphosis doesn't take long.

Probably get more rigid about change. Looking back change has been a constant. Oh, well....

Become more tolerate of other people.....this is almost a funny statement: 40 yrs ago there was at least 10 million less people in existence.

Drink in moderation....yeah, it's scary. Known too many alcoholics over time who are now dead: driving, liver problems, spouse finally ended the relationship permanently thanks to a Colt.

Less tolerant of new religions....when you get here you'll understand.

Put up with less bullshit from friends, acquaintances, relatives....when you get here you'll figure this 1 out pretty early too.

Mistrust governments and the press......governments and corruption are synonymous, get used to it. As for the press if you're a closet Democrat you won't notice any difference. Everyone has a value-laden agenda, for better or worse. Objectivity to these folks is a word used by astrophysicists, it does not apply to them. Subjectivity, on the other hand....free lunch.

I will be.....more opinionated.

More selective blowing money. Only this time around it will be discretionary spending versus medicines. (I'm not there yet but my wife is. It sucks, trust me.)

When you see that hottie walk by you'll be appreciating the fact that you are "taken" (live-in, married, whatever) as you will no longer see possibilities re ooh la la as temporary satisfaction of lust. Sadly by now you are mature enough to categorize such an adventure as the gateway to high maintenance: car and house insurance, medical plan, lifestyle beyond what $40K can afford, affordable meal planning, kids?? and their future expense, life like the Simpsons only in 3 dimensions instead of 2. Yippee.

Will the money last when I get to be....older? This worry never goes away no matter how much you are worth.

Anime, will it still exist 40-50 yrs from now? I don't know about you but at that stage of the game for me....I'll be dead, kaput, cease to be, worm food, dirt nap guy; so I don't care about that possibility....LOL.

I'm approaching the half century point myself. I still watch anime, read manga and attend one or two conventions during the year. A wise geek once said that growing old may be mandatory, but growing up is optional. This is so true. You only have one life (unless you believe in reincarnation) so live it in a way that, when you look back on it a few decades from now, will leave a smile on your face and no regrets.

As to when I'm old, I'll probably be doing the same stuff that I do now, only with my grandchildren. (e.g reading mangas as bedtime stories, or helping them with cosplays that by that time I'd be way too wrinkly to get away with myself)

Ok in all honesty, just one that exorcizes and keeps healthy that way heart attacks are less likely to come for me... hopefully.

You better start learning some spells now.

I wont make it to forty. If the world doesn't end, or zombies don't attack im probably going to have a skydiving "accident" on my 40th birthday.

I'm probably not going to be one of those geezers that yell at kids to get off of their lawn...
But I will try to live my last years of life to the fullest- like exercising, eating right, being nice to kids, etc...

At forty I'm older than many of you, but I don't consider myself old. I can share already that I thought I would grow in grace as I aged, but actually sometimes I'd really like to tell someone where to get off! And that makes me sad, since it's pretty out-of-character for me. The hurts in life seem to linger longer.
