You're going to have to make those noises now, because here I am, about to diss on Death Note. Steins;Gate, all the way for the championship match. Its lighthearted moments really added character depth, whether perverted, cute, facepalm-worthy, or downright hilarious ("HEEEEEYYYY, MIISSSUTAAA. I AM MADDO SAIENTISTO! ISSSS SO KUUUURU! sonovabeetch!") - none of that in DN. Plus... Kurisu is, in my entirely not humble opinion, both my dream GF and the sole greatest anime heroine to grace the scree. For the bronze match, Mirai Nikki. 'Nuff said. |

STEINS;GATE simply because I don't want Death Note to win (is that a valid reason?).
And Mirai Nikki because it's interesting and I've never seen Monster. |

Although Death Note had good in both, Mirai Nikku definitely gets my vote You also have to vote for a death note or steins;gate for the championship! Whoops!...hehh...heh heh... nobody saw that ^^; I changed my post though. |

For me, not as hard a choice...
Steins;Gate -- More mature, more complex, more to think about as a narrative goes. I'm still thinking about that mysterious use of the semi-colon. Death Note was great, in a lot of ways, but I lost any personal interest/emotional investment in any of the characters after L bit the dust. No, wait, I did still sort of care about what Ryuk was going to do with everything, but there just weren't many big surprises for me after that particular plot mark (what was that, about 3/5ths through the show?). For part deux -- Monster. Innovative, intense, and thought-provoking. Mirai Nikki is...'cool.' But, for me, so far it is nothing that much more than a 'cool' show. When it's over, unless it has one hell of an ending, I don't see myself thinking that much about the show. I'll see the show when a new episode comes out and I have the spare time, but it's not something I think about during the week. Monster is an anime I might recommend to anyone interested in intricately-woven suspense stories (i.e., not just anime fans). |

Vah! Denuone Latine loquebar?

for Championship i vote Steins;Gate much better character development and plot line. Death note got repetative and boring after awhile
for Bronze battle i vote Mirai Nikki it was slow at the start but its REALLY getting good now. ep 20 had me literally sitting on the edge of my seat going "WOAH" |

Steins;Gate - I love science
Mirrai Nikki - yandere forever |

Death Note - While I do like Steins; Gate more, Death Note fits the psychological genre better
Monster - IMO its the superior psychological genre and a better anime series in general. I also didn't really find any of the characters in Mirrai Nikki that appealing (yes even the yandere one). |

My god. Steins;Gate! (Same reasons as before. Still like the OST more than Death Note's)
Don't let Death Note advance any further!!! XO For the Bronze Match, I choose Mirai Nikki. Same reasons as before (I think I already voted for Mirai Nikki over Monster......) |

Steins; Gate cuz it' is just awesome. Plus, I like the story better. Oh, and I don't want Death Note to win because that would be just plain boring.
As for the Bronze match, this is a bit harder. I really think they're both good animes. But I'll vote for Mirai Nikki just coz I love survival horrors. |

My vote is for Death Note... cause I watched all of it unlike SG
I'm voting for Monster cause I refuse to vote for an ongoing show like Mirai Nikki since I don't know how it ends. |

Steins;Gate because it's just plain better. Death note was good, but... meh

Steins;Gate kept me interested in every episode. People complain that the beginning was slow, but the dialogue and character development there, and throughout the series, was the most interesting part to me. One might argue that Death Note's plot depended more upon the psychology of the characters. Steins;Gate, however, had me rethinking my views about life itself at some points, which I might conclude makes it more psychologically significant. Thus,
Steins;Gate gets my vote. Edit: I'm not entitled to an opinion on the bronze match, as I've never seen Mirai Nikki. Monster was awesome though. |
