Is it just me, or are some subtitles huge?

I decided to check out the newest episode of Gintama, even though I am not caught up on it, and I noticed the subtitles were kind of on the large side... like, huge. Like, wrapping short sentences huge. So I checked the previous episode to see if it was a mistake, and no, they were huge as well.

So I checked Bleach, a show I watch regularly, and it had smaller subtitles, they seemed reasonable.

So then I picked a random show I don't watch, Reborn, and clicked on the newest episode, and the subtitles in that show are huge, too!

What's up with that? Also, is there an option to resize them? The Gintama subtitles particularly are total overkill.

Yeah, the Gintama subtitles have been way to big from ep 213 onwards. I've tried complaining a few times, and some of the earlier eps were fixed (208-212ish), but nothing has happened with the more recent ones.

Most series on this site are fine. The only other overly large subs I've noticed recently are for Working S2 and Prince of Tennis II.

From what I have read about how CrunchyRoll delivers the subtitles, they are basically "soft" subtitles, so technically, a resize feature should be possible within the player.

Certain subtitles on series change size a lot. It's weird O.o
