![]() Preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLttTA094g4 With summer about to begin a group of friends, the stillness and boredom of holiday is almost upon them. To combat the approaching boredom, these friends decide to make a film together documenting their memories together throughout the holiday. Will this truly be the summer to remember… Main Characters & Voice Actors Kaito Kirishima Voiced by: Haruka Tomatsu One of the main protagonist and aspiring photographer. His personality is somewhat clumsy, lewd, but also has an imaginative mind. He has a mysterious past based on the flashback/dream we see in the very first episode. Ichika Takatsuki Voiced by: Nobunaga Shimazaki A mysterious transfer student and one of the main protagonist. She is very polite and has a hobby of fishing. She has a mysterious power that could influence characters throughout the series. Remon Yamano Voiced by: Yukari Tamura A short and mischievous girl with twin tails. She likes to play pranks on her friends and classmates with various ways that often follows up with her signature "fufufu". She also becomes one of Ichika's first friends. Tetsurō Ishigaki Voiced by: Hideki Ogihara A tall and laidback individual. He also a carefree attitude and is willing to help friends in need. He seems to be also popular with girls especially older women. Other Information Genre: Romantic Comedy, Slice of Life, Sci-Fi Produced by: Genco Studio: J.C. Staff Network: TV Aichi, KBS Demographic: Shouen Opening/Ending OP: "Sign" sung by Ray, featuring lyrics written by Kotoko and composed by Shinji Orito of Key. Ending: "Vidro Moyō" sung by Nagi Yanagi. First Impressions I am quite surprised after watching the first episode. Despite the preview being kind of boring and slice of lifish, the episode was executed very well. There is humor, romance, slice of life theme, and even supernatural elements. Seems that the plot relates to movie making so this might be a good series for those fans out there interested in drama :P. The music (both OP and End) are done pretty well also as well as the soundtrack. Despite being labeled as "romantic comedy", this is a rather serious anime imo that has a darker plot that will eventually be revealed eventually. I recommend to continue watching. Spoiler Alert! It definitely reminds me of Onegai Teacher! The whole beginning of the episode seems to be a mini-homage to the show, and it has the same staff and director working on it, I believe? I may be wrong but I can see quite a few similarities despite not having finished Onegai Teacher! There's a major difference between the two shows though as this one is more orientated on a group of friends who enjoy filming unlike Onegai Teacher!'s focus on a taboo relationship, or the romantic aspect of. I'm not a huge fan of the art style but it may grow on me if I last long enough watching the show. I enjoyed the dialogue in the beginning with its philosophical talk of "memories" and remaining as a presence in the Earth.
The episode introduces us to the key characters and their relationship(s). That's about it - we know the MC, Kaito Kirishimap, has a thorough interest in filming to retain "memories". Looks like the show will just be about filming with a bit of romance here and there. Gah, I can't remember the music but I think I enjoyed the ED. Continue on? Why the hell not, it seems rather fun so far even if you aren't too big of a fan. It may prove to be something enjoyable at the least. |

I'm actually quite surprised. Not a huge fan of slice and life series but this one seems to be executed well by the music, art, and characters. I can't wait for the plot to further develop. This is a must see this season

Well, not bad for episode 2. I'm still confused on what the actual plot is but apparently, Ichika is not from Earth. The other plot involves the characters trying to make a movie. (although none of them are actually serious about it)
Well, w/e. This episode had a very slice of lifish theme to it. I personally think this series would be perfect to watch during hot summer days rather than winter. Remon Yamano being the mischief girl that she is: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide She also apparently spiked everyone's drinks to what she calls the "Dynamite Drink". Result: nearly everyone drunk and plays the King's Game LOL |

I liked what it could have been about. Then they threw in the Sci-Fi + perverted stuff and I was turned off by it. Making summer memories isn't enough apparently...

Cute episode 3. Half of it involved the date between the MC(s). Oh, and of course, Remon being epic as usual:

I have to agree with that! :)
I feel a little sad for Tetsurō. He really should have listened to Mio. |

Hmm, not related to this discussion topic but apparently, some premium members are experiencing difficulties watching this episode:
^For some reason, from what I've been told, you cannot watch this episode even if you are premium member (Anime premium) although All-Access members can watch it. Technical difficulty? http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-748916/ano-natsu-episode-3 Also, I've heard that there was an early problem related to no subtitles in this episode. That is fixed now though. The latest episode as in episode 3. Edit: It's fixed now. Not sure what the hell happened earlier. |

Check out the hover text for episode 3, and you'll see they have it set to allow only Drama Members to view it instead of Anime Members. All-Access members, of course, are seen by the system as belonging to both groups. As odd as it may seem, a Drama only member could also view this episode now with no problem. |

CR should get this fix as they appear to have coded/registered this episode in their Drama section. On my iPod Touch this episode does not appear in the Anime Recently Added section, but the Drama Recently Added section instead. |
