Keep busy.

No matter what the issue is, there must be something more important than it that needs your attention, except in the most extreme, apocalyptic scenarios, of course.

I mostly agree with this.

Spending too much time dwelling over it will cause depression and make it hard to think strait. You wont be able to over come a crisis unless you can think normally, so keeping busy with other things really helps.

That being said, if the crisis is something in which you need to act quickly for it to be corrected, don't falter from that task.

Reflect on the issue. Find out what the problem is and what you can do to combat it...

Why is your body progressing its own natural life-cycle ever a crisis to begin with? Unless you were conditioned into believing and perceiving that being young is better than being old through psychosocial means.

I've turned to writing, myself.

I seek support from family and friends. It really is that simple. But, if you haven't those supports, psychiatric councilors can certainly help.

Just sit, then wait and let it all sink in by the end if you're still alive...good.

Whatever is the weather, I take my iPod and go for a long run of about 1 hour. It cleans my mind.

Make a checklist of the things you want to do. Live as if you're a dying person.

I move forward. If I just stand still while the world falls apart, nothing can change.
