Is it just me, or does Sora's ribbon have more than a passing resembelance to Haruhi Suzumiya's?

CR is really only NA friendly. I don't understand why people from other countries would pay for it. I think CR should give EU and other area some discounts.

Can one of the people who work at Crunchy confirm if its 26 episodes or not? The page here says its 26, but the official Japanese website says its 12 episodes plus a dvd only 13th episode.

The information on the official site matches reports that the series will "only air till march", which basically confirms that the first season is 12+1 episodes.

I still think there's a good chance that the series is split cour though, it's not like both CR and other sources would pull the number 26 out of nowhere. Another thing that suggests this is that CR doesn't list an ending date, which is a quite rare for a series where they list an episode count.

its somewhat nice that this season the simulcasts are spread more throughout the week than the heavy weekend focus of the past few seasons.

I definitely agree. Q4 2011 seemed kinda of weak in terms of the number of series that were announced, and a good chunk was airing on Saturday while some days were pretty barren. It seems more evenly distributed now . Saturday is still the biggest day but it's not as bunched up, and most days of the week now have at least two new series (either a new season for a show or a whole new series, I'm not counting continous long runners like Naruto, Bleach, Sket Dance etc.). And at last Sunday now has at least one new series (although it sucks it's the 4th season of a series previously unaired on Crunchyroll).

I think Q1 2012 is shaping up to be vastly superior to Q4 2011 in terms of the variety of content in the series CR has been getting.

Looks like this is it for the season, so unfortunately no Milky Holmes.

On the one hand, there was no "Are we done with announcing? Maybe, but then again...maybe we aren't..." as with Inu x Boku, but I didn't really detect an air of finality, either.

While there was no "??" at the end of the new titles listed in the initial message, that was also true in the topic for Inu x Boku. Likewise, there is no "?" box on the lineup page, but that was initially true for Inu x Boku as well.

The conclusion I draw from this is that CR is not ready to declare the lineup complete, but is considerably less confident they will be able to add any additional titles.

While I am more concerned over the bad precedent not getting the second Milky Holmes series sets than the series itself, I understand the possible reasons for it. The absence of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of High School Boys) is actually more confusing to me.

I think the reason there is no "Are we done with announcing? Maybe, but then again...maybe we aren't..." is because keikawa is the one that usually writes that, where I don't ever remember seeing michana teasing like that. Just a guess

Gasp~! Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai~~!

This is perfect. Very very perfect. I mean, I'm glad that Japanzai is scanlating the 5 different PapaKiki series, but this way we get to know more about the story (and most hopefully about the accident - come on, we all know there's far more that meets the eye about it).

I note in the Crunchyroll Newsletter released today, they stated, "We just completed our winter simulcast announcements ...". (Look for that just below the "New Titles: Diversity is Everything" title).

Unless the person that wrote that is seriously out of the loop, I would take that to mean they are indeed finished with the announcements.

The whole character has a passing resemblance to Haruhi.
