Is there a reason why anime's are trying to avoid the R rating? There are lots of animes that can be far better if the story developed like rated R concept. They would also have more freedom on smoking, blood, "bad influential behavior", etc...

you must learn that what the japanese do with their rating system is different from where *you* live

I mean you can see bewbs at midnight.... any kid can stay up till midnight

Obviously the Japanese have their own rating system but when they are aired it in USA they need to follow the USA rating system and most of the time they deliberately try to avoid rated R for some reason.

OPPS I got it wrong I wanted to say RATED M for mature!!! not R

I dunno. They probably just try to avoid it because there are a lot of people under 17-18 that like anime, and if they rated it M or R, a lot of shows wouldn't be easily bought for a lot of people, decreasing their sales by a bunch just because they wanted to make it gorier and make the characters more evil

1. they want to appeal to a larger demographic
2. a lot of anime are aimed towards teens
3. just because an anime is profane doesn't make it good, it's all about plot
