Thoughts?

Do you agree that the story line, the controls, the fights were better laid out? Or are you bound to Ocarina of Time simply because it's Ocarina of Time and nothing could beat it.

It's a poor game. In mid 2009, Nintendo died. Mario is nowhere near it's standard. Zelda is nowhere near it's standard. Pokemon is nowhere near it's standard. Kirby sucks dick now. The wii is a retarded system, and the Wii-U will be disappointing. The 3DS is a pointless attempt at entering a new handheld generation.. (Although I did buy one).

Also, Majora's Mask was better than OoT. So was Wind Waker.

I'll bite. As someone who has hated Ocarina of Time, irrationally an old friend would say say, since the release of the game - I can say I love what I played of Skyward Sword. I was one of those people clinging to the 2D Zelda I played as a kid. I am not so sure about the fighting. I do enjoy the motion controls after Twilight Princess. I thought playing Ocarina of Time was uncomfortable whether it was on a N64 controller or Gamecube controller, but I can't seriously compare motion controls with traditional controls. They both have their flaws and I've complained about two aspects of the controls of Skyward Sword while playing which I'll keep private.

Both are apparently good games, I just prefer Skyward Sword by a lot.

Actually, I have played all the Zeldas beginning with the original Nintendo on up......this newest game really disappointed me- Zelda had so many side games and not much plot..I agree with CarboKill

Majora's Mask was better than OoT. So was Wind Waker.

I didn't like Skyward Sword that much. Some of the new additions in the game were nice but it felt like it took a lot of steps back in other areas. I definitely prefer OoT to SS.

Skyward Sword was better in my honest opinion, I am comparing it with my expeirence on the 3DS version, didn't play N64.

I really enjoyed Skyward Sword. I really liked the use of the motion controls and the dungeons and locations to explore were very enjoyable for me. The game had a lot to offer, but as always, I was wanting more by the end of the game. I'm glad that Nintendo is sticking with motion controls for future Zelda games. I'd like to see what they can do to improve on them or find more innovative ways to use them.

How I compare it to the Ocarina of Time? Ah... That's a tough one. I'm probably going to say that I enjoyed Skyward Sword a little bit more than OoT... But no Zelda game has yet to take the place of my most favorite, a Link to the Past!

lol this is why i read good topics you all have good points honestly i love the whole zelda series i played most of them but i stopd after twilight princess. The only great zelda game i ever played was wind waker and i hear people complain a lot about how it looks when i just loved how it got onto a whole new level with no hints it was more just you, no guide to help and the boss fights wernt bad i espically like the mutistage puppet fight lol.
But lately i dont find the new zelda games catching my attention, there not bad just not on topic when i played Twilight princess i was disapointed with the lady yeti boss fight... i never played a game where i was disapointed with a boss fight that caught me off guard. As for skyward sword i never played it i heard good reviews so ill take your words for it. Also tell me your favorite boss fights i love to argue how much fun it is to figure out how to kill the ugly bastards lol ty ^^

I couldn't agree more, I loved Ocarina of time but hands down I felt so much more immersed whilst playing Skyward Sword than I did Ocarina. Then again I felt like Skyward Sword spoon fed the motion controls throughout the whole game. Love both games, just proffered Skyward Sword.
