Regular orgasms can help prevent prostate cancer.
If you don't/can't have a partner, then porn helps you get off.

Yes, like anything, too much can be a bad thing. If it's bleeding, then you're doing it too much guys...

That actually happened to a friend of mine. No joke. He was my roommate at the time. I couldn't stop laughing and cringing at the same time. I was like, "how do you even do it that much in such a short amount of time." I guess some people just have insatiable libidos. xD

There are two major statistical points to focus on about this topic:

1) As Cecilthedarkknight partially touched upon, more porn = fewer sex crimes. Look up some historical statistics on rape crimes. You'll find that around the early 70s, the rate of rape starts to shift from rising to declining. That happens to be around when VHS started to spread. Inevitably, it took no time for there to be "racy content" in that new medium, and it was now something people could enjoy in their own privacy (or intimately with another). You can find other various historical milestones of porn coinciding with the declination of rape, like Playboy. And of course, the biggest impact has been the internet. Rape rates today are significantly lower than when they were at the peak. There is an absolute inverse correlation between porn increasing and rape going down. The day "tangible" porn is available I'm sure will cause another good drop. (btw, this is in observation of the US's rape statistics)

2) Most people that are against porn are young (or religiously driven). This makes sense, as most parents (and others in the role of raising people) believe the right thing to do is teach having overly open-sexuality is a bad thing. And the simple answer, especially within the narrow scope of "normal" parenting, there is truth in that. But the simple route is inaccurate, especially when being closed to sexuality is unhealthy. Plus, most parents didn't "follow idealism" when they reproduced, but it is normal for parenting to have such hypocrisy. While people are raised thinking "porn is bad", people who have had more time to think over the rationality of "why" commonly conclude it is OK, thus most who embrace porn are somewhat more aged. (Liking the content itself a different matter, I mean merely accepting it.)

Another major point you need to keep in mind is that porn is inherently different from sex. Enjoying porn goes no further than "sexual pleasure". Sex on the otherhand (ideally) is with a person you love, where there is an emotional attachment. Emotions play a major role in sex, so it differs in offering sexual pleasure with an emotional fulfillment. The two play different roles, both are healthy, one does not replace the other, it is normal for them to coexist.

Also, I'm also in the party of "why is selling tickets to gore movies OK while humans intimately loving each other is not?"

Hmm, I've explained these points here before...

I won't pretend to be better than I really am: yes, I look at the stuff. A lot of it really disgusts me, but I still look at it at times.

Pornography is bad simply because it creates unrealistic expectations of sexuality. In real life relationships, a woman isn't going to want to have sex every time you do, isn't going to want to do the things you want her to do. Obviously, porn is fake (not just the animated versions either), and when you have a real sexual relationship and all you've ever been exposed to sexually is porn, you're gonna either make a fool of yourself or piss your partner off something awful.

My biggest problem with it is that it's so darn easy to get to. Before you had to go into a smut peddler's shop in a dark alleyway on the bad side of town. Now, you can get it on your computer without paying a penny.

I recall that there was a poll done trying to find differences between men who had been exposed to porn and men who hadn't, and they literally could not find men 18 and over who had not been exposed to pornography at some point in their childhood.

Really? I don't see what the big deal is. It's just some pictures and videos of stuff other animals do on the Discovery Channel all the time.
