For me, it would be Elfen Lied. Although violent, I find the story to be beautiful, touching, and has great characters. I also watched the anime series about 5-6 times.

Omg Ranma 1/2 for the sole reason that it never even got a decent ending. There were so many loose ends it just bothers me to no end.

Noblesse. Kamisama Hajimemashita. Ryuu no Hanawazurai. A new one: A Thousand Years Ninetails. A yaoi one: I can't even breathe without you. and pretty much any of Bohra Naono's fantasy works.

1)Azumanga Daioh- the light-hearted, slice-of-life storyline made it an simple and profoundly entertaining read. Highly recommended for anyone who likes manga. I just randomly saw the ominbus in a Barnes & Nobles and took a shot in the dark. Well worth it. The characters are fun and oh so KAWAII ^_^

The reason I wish the manga would've continued: I wanted to see all the characters continue to grow. the story takes place in a high school and showcases the relationships built between the six main character and two very notable teachers. The antics that ensued left my heart warmed and cheerful. I was sad to see it go. But happy that I had the time I did. I'll probably just go re-read it soon. ^_^

Azumanga Daioh Omnibus

2)Fruits Basket- I started with the anime and found myself instantly in love with Ms. Honda and the world of the Zodiac Curse. But, as most people will agree, the anime left us with a great show and story but many unanswered questions. So I found my way to the local Barnes & Noble to immerse myself in the manga. I was left breathless and on the verge of tears on many occasions.

The reason I wish the manga would've continued: as with Azumanga Daioh, I wanted to see all the characters continue to grow. Especially Yuki Sohma. The story show cases how the scars in our life can be healed with love. The characters faced their fears and met them head on. I would love to see their lives in happier times after their scars began to fade.

I recommend picking up Fruits Basket at your local library. I couldn't find a decent online retailer for the manga (in the two minutes I decided to look). But most major bookstores should have some decently priced copies on hand.

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. There are seven volumes out in the US right now and I'm really liking it so far. (I also hope they make more seasons of the anime!)
