Yes and dubstep, as others have pointed out, is mediocre at best. Plus, as the genius, habercrombie, pointed out, there are more superior sub-genres of electronic. Which ironically, the artists I like of dubstep tend to lean more towards techno, house or downtempo electronica. |

I listen to a healthy dose of dubstep! Artists include Knife Part, Nero, Feed Me, Scatta, Skrillex. Although dubstep isn't my favorite genre as it is beaten by another larger healthier dose of techno (not a techno thread so I won't go into detail on artists etc. lol) but a mate at work is OBSESSED with dubstep. a producer called 'nhato' (i think it was) did a really good one, i thought it was electropop until it hit the chorus then it just broke in out of nowhere. this is comming from a guy who listens to metal and j pop generally.

it's stupid to make a decision about an entire type of music that it's all good or all bad. there's good dubstep and crappy dubstep, just like there's good rock and bad rock, and everything else. it's like racism. although honestly i believe there is a relatively low ratio of good to bad dubstep, there's some thats so sick.

I like dub-step, mostly Skrillex/Feed me. it is real music, just as real as rock or hip-hop (which I like both of them) It's cool to listen to when going for a run.

I like dubstep that sounds like trance with wobbles in the background. What dubstep sounded like before skrillex was less chaotic and more chill. It is a sub-genre of dub which is a sub-genre of reggae, both of which are chill-orientated music. Although it was founded in the UK not Jamaica or anywhere near tropical regions .
