Song Il-gook possibly coming back with "Goblin"
Actor Song Il-gook (40) might be coming back with the 3D movie "Goblin". This is the first time in six years after "The Art of Seduction" that he's coming back with a movie.
It is known that he is on negotiating terms with the staff. His management says, "He should only be able to shoot the movie next year as he is busy with his shooting schedule for "Fermented Family".
"Goblin" is based on an old school at risk of being torn down in a countryside village. Song Il-gook helps the kids save their school with the goblin.
"Golbin" has a budget of five billion won and will be directed by Jeong Yong-ki from "Marrying the Mafia II" and "Couples". Song Il-gook, who is in the middle of filming the jTBC drama "Fermented Family" should join the movie around March when the drama is over.
Song Il-gook has been focusing around dramas such as "Jumong", "Lobbyist", "Land of wind", "A Man Called God", "Detectives in Trouble" and more, Last year, he took on the role of Ahn Joong-geun in the 100th anniversary special play, "I Am You".
Nam Gyu Ri May Soon Join Song Il Kook In “Goblin”
Nam Gyu Ri is very close to signing on for the 3-D movie Goblin (a.k.a. Dokkaebi), which will team her up with Fermentation Family‘s Song Il Kook.
The movie will be helmed by Couples director Jeong Yong Ki, and it tells the story of a goblin (or goblins) who helps Song and Nam’s characters save an old countryside school from being demolished.
Nam was last seen onscreen with her cameo on Mr. Idol, while Goblin will be Song’s first movie since appearing in The Art of Seduction six years ago. According to Star News (via HanCinema), Nam will begin preparations for the film as soon as she confirms her decision.
Meanwhile, Nam is filming the Chinese drama My Forgetful Girlfriend with Jang Woo Hyuk.
