If you need to ask, it's probably not time...you should probably know when, there's no discrete minimum.

Nevertheless, the average according to some study here is 2.8 years (2 years and about 9 and a half months).

I'm with you on the... if I'd have to ask myself that question than it would probably be the wrong time.......
