Tefrin wrote: I watched the Live painting video posted in the news section on Crunchyroll. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/01/26/video-live-painting-by-black-rock-shooter-manga-artist-tnsk I loved it, I could watch videos like that all day so I went to the Wacom's Japan Youtube channel and watched a few more and I notices that different artists used different software. This isn't surprising ,what I was wondering is what software do you like to use. Has anyone tried the SAL or Manga Studio software? I have used Photoshop in the past but it is so expensive. So let me know what is your favorite paint software For computer softwares, I use the most recent Photoshop and Illustrator otherwise I stick to watercolor and inks. |

any photoshop from 8 to up or corel painter, also any intuos if you are doing it just for manga cintiq is kind too much you dont need that a medium intuos would be great ( most people don't like the large ones )

I've been using Photoshop Elements 6 for years, and it has yet to disappoint me (in fact, I prefer it over more specialized programs such as Manga Studio).
Of course, I'm primarily a traditional artist first; I only break out Photoshop for editing, formatting and doing things that would be too awkward or difficult to do by hand. |

Paint.net is an amazing, not to hard to use program that has improved my graphic art by 100%.

Currently using Paint.net. I've tried using Photoshop, but since I'm really noob it makes things look a lot worse than when it was just in pencil. For a while I stayed away from using any software, but lately I've been fooling around with Paint.net, and since it's easier to use (for me anyway) I might try to do more colouring instead of sticking through and through to my usual traditional style.

Photoshop isn't really meant for painting, that's why it isn't all that easy to use. Try Sai. It's really easy to use.
