When I was studying abroad in Taiwan, everyone there thought I was Taiwanese. When I said I was Filipino, they would ask "Oh your mom or your dad?" haha. I'm full Filipino.

people think I'm either korean, Japanese, chinese... I had a korean classmate and professors would think I was the korean student and when people would point out who was truely korean they'd think my classmates were joking. >_< my japanese students would think I'm chinese..but most would speak to me in japanese cuz they think im japanese.. It's a good thing I could understand so I can kindly tell them I'm not.. When I tell filipinos that im full fil they would all look at me in a strange way.. I had one korean walk up to me and ask if I was korean I said no, is my father korean.. no.. is your mother korean... no... are you japanese? no... is your mother japanese? no is your father japanese.. no... are you chinese... and sooo on.. >_<

Yeah most of the time i've been mistaken as a korean or japanese. But im filipino. Hahaha

Most of the time they will say I'm Spanish because of my skin colour and my last name, but sometimes some people will say I'm a Chinese because of my eyes...

Hmm. I remember one time, when I was still a new immigrant, I was sitting in a park and then suddenly, a seemingly stubborn and arrogant kid shouted in my ears. I just stared at him as he ran away and I heard him say to his friend, "I think he's Spanish." In my mind, I was laughing. Haha. :D
Oh, and another friend of mine thought that I was Chinese for some reason that I can't fathom. Haha.

no joke even when i have .. a double/triple eyelids LOL
and big eyes. or as a halfcast.
im not even halfcast.
although, i've been asked many times before by japanese people
if i'm japanese or i've been told that i look.. "different"
simply as over emphasised as it is... nobody can tell.

A lot people assume that I'm Chinese, Japanese and Korean. funny part is that when i go to china town, japanese town and korean town, they talk to me with there language and weird part is that i know how to respond their greeting. haha

All the time! I've been mistaken for being Korean, Chinese or Japanese ever since I can remember! There's this one instance where an older Filipino stranger asked me for directions in Tagalog which made me really happy COZ FINALLY SOMEONE GOT IT RIGHT, but then he squinted his eyes and quickly apologized and said "Oh sorry I thought you were Filipino." Talk about Pansamantalang Kaligayahan!
