Me, as a Malaysian, Chinese, Thai, and even Singaporean. Well, I'm actually Filipino (Ilokano + Cebuano) and Chinese rolled in one.

Kind of an amusing thread coming from a white guy who has traveled around quite a bit. I always felt that Filipinos were one of the harder Asian ethnic groups to get mixed up with others i find they have very unique features to a lot of other Asian people even those close by like Malaysians i get mixed up with Singaporians or Thais but i can usually pick out a Filipino i think personally it's easier to mistake a Filipino for a Native American since Filipinos have rounder eyes and often the same characteristic high cheekbones as Natives which often makes then look different than another Asian ethnicity clearly this thread proves me wrong XD.

There have been plenty of times when people have come up to me asking for (seemingly) directions in Chinese.

Ive been mistaken for an Indonesian before at my barber. When I told him I was filipino ,he said I looked more Indonesian then filipino. People taught I was Thai and Viet before too. Frankly I think they look very similar. I guess its cuz they live eight next to each other.

I live in Korea now and I always get mistaken for a korean. lol. When I was in the Phils they always mistake me as either a japanese, a korean, or a chinese. It must be because of my eyes. :))
