Being called gay
Posted 2/4/12
Not me nor Kamek have been called that, but my friends have. They just ignore it, then people forget soon. After that, they became friends with the people who insulted them. How odd.

^ Basically what she said. Never been called that in my life except when they are joking, but my friends have been called that many times. They argued and fought the people calling them that......yeah. Don't do that. Try to ignore it. If they keep annoying you, just smack talk them (well that's what I would do, but most people would just totally ignore them).

I'm 23 and everyone knows my stance on waiting to get married but as teenager I used to be called gay. It didn't help that I loved wearing mismatched clothes to school in bright colors

But yeah, anyways ignore them. When all my friends start getting on me about getting married and dating, I just tell them point blank no! Sorry but if I was dating someone I'd have to become more stable and I like my instability.

Just recently I met a guy who's the perfect mix of cute, nerd, and adorableness, that I've been thinking, just thinking about dating. But even if I do I would not let everyone know. And let me tell you, they're calling you gay now, but in 1 or 2 years its going to get worse. Despite my pureness, they know my mind is about as pervy as they come, they no longer call me gay. But when they're upset at you they're going to say "You just need to get a man!" That, I tell you, is going to tick you off, waaaaay more than being called gay.

So basically, like you said, its your life choice. So either tell them to mind their own business or bat your lashes at them and wink suggestively. Both have been proven to have the desired effect-they leave me alone.

It actually makes me feel sexy, I mean, if I tried, I could get all the ladies I want. It's not my fault they think I'm gay, I mean, I'm just that sexy to my own sex.

You know, in the 8th grade I don't know if it's true or not, but I was rumored as a Lesbian and guys made fun of me because of that. I just wish I would've been strong as I am now, because it got to me and it made me have emotional issues. It still happens and people think I'm straight or Lesbian. It doesn't brother me at all now. But, like some people said on here, don't let that word get to you, because you know who you are and no one can define who you really are.

Being called that many times. Mainly due to my choices of clothings and my teasings such as "c'mon dude, gimme a kiss on the mouth" (was simply kidding about that line ._.) to guys.

Like some people said- Some people use the term "Gay" too often, so I don't believe that you should be affected by it.
Besides, if you know what you are, then don't let it bug you :))

How is somebody gonna go around calling girls gay? Just doesn't seem fitting as an insult, teasing or not.

Where i come from, girls kiss all the time and no one makes a big deal out of it. It's different with guys though. I say gay too often.. Many times it isn't really used as an insult. More like.. "Yeah, that wasn't very manly" Like if i drink a cup of tea and i suddenly notice my pinky sticking up into the air i'll exclaim "Haha, look at that! That's so gay!"

If more than 1 person and at different times call you gay... There is probably something in the way you look or act, that makes people think you are gay. If you act/look gay, then it's not really other people's fault for thinking you are gay. I'm not saying you should change who you are, but live with the consequences of your actions without bitching about it.

Also make sure you tell people that you're straight. I would feel bad for the lesbian who falls in love with you and thinks she has a chance to get with you, because you exude gay vibes.

All my girl friends are really flirty with each other, so we're called lesbos on a regular basis -_- So I've been desensitized to those kind of teasing.

Don't let it get to you, in the end, you know what's true and what's not :]

People these days can't deal with the fact that other people are different in some way. So they call them things like "gay" when actually maybe they are just not a slut. Don't let it get to you at all. People like that are pitiful.

"I don't like being accused of something i'm not." It's another side of that feeling, but that's also how many Lesbians feel being treated as a 'straight' girl by friends, family and most of all boys. Obviously the pressure is worse and more uncomfortable because of society's attitudes. It sucks doesn't it.

I use gay as more of an insult.
