You are right, naruto, bleach or one piece couldnt fit in 24 eps.
I do think however, that there is a happy medium that would be
much less than what they are now, however long that may be.
I wouldnt know.

do they run continuously in japan? like -every- week is a new ep? or are there big gaps between seasons?
as much as i paid attention to it, individual story arcs seemed to be pretty much 1 season long, give or take a few fillers.

anyways, the whole point of series like those is the completely over the top fighting. in order to trim up the series, you'd have to trim up the fighting... and then it would just become a bunch of lame fights with some random plot junk in the middle.

what ya -could- do if you want the appearance of the plot moving faster is stop watching for 6 months, then have a marathon catch up session. the plot really feels like it's moving along and you get to watch so much ridiculous epic fighting.
except then you have to stop watching for another 6 months or whatever, rather than just a week for the next ep.

Of course you could trim up some of the fights, or at least make each arc have more plot to it.

That solution you proposed does work, but should we should not have to make compromises like that for a great story. I suppose
i shouldnt be putting these animes up to these standards. There are obviously enough people who enjoy it how it is, and who am I
to say they are wrong?

well ya see? there's your problem right there.
Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and the others like that simply don't have a -great- story. and they don't try either. they aim for an ok, fun story. and then a ton of completely epic fighting to make the show really cool to watch.

I suppose, but i guess its just hard not to wish for them to be something more. And I think that's because there are traces of great stories in them. in bleach, for instance, the first arc or two really felt like great storytelling, but then it just fell apart and became repetitive. I don't think it should have ended there, but it just felt forced from there on. However it is interesting that the latest arc of the manga is proclaiming to be "final" that makes me excited.

naruto, bleach, one piece is ALL repetitive

but people still watch them because everyone just wants to have an ending at least that is what many people who yearns for stories strive for

One piece is the most annoying anime ever!
because of 500+ episodes and still endless

i was expecting 25 years later, One piece is not finish yet

You have the nerve.
One Piece is flawless and you will deal.

And I can't believe you people are hating on an anime because it's "endless".
Come up with a better reason and maybe I'll consider your opinion.

Wtf? You just said Bleach because of the fillers. :i
