This is not a valid dilemma; I mean if they asked you to not spend so much time watching anime - that request might be important for the sake of the relationship. But its not like you can suddenly stop like "liking" something because someone asked you to. Your feelings about stuff (anime or otherwise) are your feelings, and they are not just going to go away even if you wanted them to.

Now if you're spending so much time watching anime that your partner says "hey we should spend more time doing things together, and I don't like anime so lets do other stuff," then you will have to think about whether you want to spend more time with that partner or not. If you really care about them, you might want to cut back a little for the sake of the relationship, if it is that big a deal. But it would also be within your prerogative to say "hey why don't you cut down on the Reality shows, (or whatever they are into that takes time away from the relationship). If he or she is not willing to make sacrifices then I say you might want to dump them and move on.
