What's the one food you hate the most?

Total opposite here. In fact, I'm likely to err on the side of too much spice in cooking or ordering food. I once ate at a place called The Noodle Box in Vancouver, BC. They had 13 levels of heat for their dishes, with level 3 or 4 being medium for western tastes. Being adventurous, I chose the highest, which was nicknamed Suicide. The waitress looked me dead in the eye and was like, "Are you sure?" and I said I was. After a few bites, my eyes were watering and my lips were numb from the heat and the flavor was overpowering. I couldn't even come close to finishing it. Here's a vicarious experience via YouTube that pretty much sums up my feelings about it.

Lesson learned: If your server asks you if you're sure about your order, maybe you're not that sure and you should rethink it.

I think perhaps the most unpalatable food I've ever tasted—or in recent memory, at least—is natto. I really do have an unaffected fondness for quite a few Japanese foods, but natto is not one of them, and I don't think I could ever acquire a taste for it no matter how hard I tried.
