All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

when i was a child,
i use to dream about,
the feeling of being cared and loved.
to have someone who will take me there,
even in the middle of nowhere

in a place where anguish don't exist,
only pure love and memories,
so tell me if you can come along,
I promise all your fears will be gone

I would love if you'll be there.
and be with me till I breathe my last air.
in heaven that's the only place i think.
back to God who gave our lives to keep.

Here are 2 poems I learned as a small child in school (3rd grade) and never forgot.

Abou Ben Adhem

Abou Ben Adhem (may his tribe increase!)
Awoke one night from a deep dream of peace,
And saw, within the moonlight in his room,
Making it rich, and like a lily in bloom,
An Angel writing in a book of gold:

Exceeding peace had made Ben Adhem bold,
And to the Presence in the room he said,
"What writest thou?" The Vision raised its head,
And with a look made of all sweet accord
Answered, "The names of those who love the Lord."

"And is mine one?" said Abou. "Nay, not so,"
Replied the Angel. Abou spoke more low,
But cheerily still; and said, "I pray thee, then,
Write me as one who loves his fellow men."

The Angel wrote, and vanished. The next night
It came again with a great wakening light,
And showed the names whom love of God had blessed,
And, lo! Ben Adhem's name led all the rest!

-- James Leigh Hunt

Little Boy Blue
by Eugene Field (1850-1895)

The little toy dog is covered with dust,
But sturdy and stanch he stands;
And the little toy soldier is red with rust,
And his musket moulds in his hands.
Time was when the little toy dog was new,
And the soldier was passing fair;
And that was the time when our Little Boy Blue
Kissed them and put them there.

"Now, don't you go till I come," he said,
"And don't you make any noise!"
So, toddling off to his trundle-bed,
He dreamt of the pretty toys;
And, as he was dreaming, an angel song
Awakened our Little Boy Blue---
Oh! the years are many, the years are long,
But the little toy friends are true!

Ay, faithful to Little Boy Blue they stand,
Each in the same old place---
Awaiting the touch of a little hand,
The smile of a little face;
And they wonder, as waiting the long years through
In the dust of that little chair,
What has become of our Little Boy Blue,
Since he kissed them and put them there.

My own poem~<3 (written in 5 mins) xD

You push and push
till the edge
now that your here
you shudder in fright

What do I do?
what do I do?
I want to keep going
but my heart says no

I turn my cheek
to hear your cry
our adrenaline rushing

We push and push
till we go over
over that edge

EMO here is mine I totally wrote this

I open my eyes
I try to see but I'm blinded by the white light.
I can’t remember how
I can’t remember why
I'm lying here tonight
And I can’t STAND the pain
And I can’t make it go away
No I can’t STAND the pain

*CHORUS*
How could this happen to me
I've made my mistakes
got nowhere to run
The night goes on as I’m fading away
I'm sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me

Everybody’s screaming
I try to make a sound but no one hears me
I’m slipping off the edge
I’m hanging by a thread
I wanna start this over again
So I try to hold
On to a time when
Nothing mattered
And I can’t explain
What happened and I can’t erase the things that I’ve done
No I can’t

*CHORUS*
How could this happen to me
I've made my mistakes
got nowhere to run
The night goes on as I’m fading away
I’m sick of this life

How could this happen to me

As me & my love accompany one another & retire on the beach,
the sand would be our bedding & the moon would be our flashlight.
cuddle each other with our warmth while the sea plays us a tune.

that's all i can think of

Tus labios me tientan
mi voluntad se desmorona con una mirada de usted
¿Por qué tienes que torturar mi alma de tal manera?

Puedo sentir tu tacto persistentes en el aire
tu amor me esta acabando
¿Es mi miseria a su gusto?

A song's lyrics are poems, so I listen to them everyday

When light Dawns

The last ray of light announces the end of the day
and the coming of the night
darkness falls and the streets fall silent
streetlamps flicker weakly , fighting against the black , murky sky
a shining globe of light , surrounded by stars
illuminates the night

As the time comes for it to depart
the clouds drift past in a weary start
the skies clear and lightens up
and blue shines through like sapphire

unknown to us
the first ray of light
ascends and paints the drifting clouds

When light dawns
all creatures rise
to witness the starting of another day

until time stops
and bid us all
Goodbye

If it's a double post,sorry!...
One of my favorites...

HOW DO I LOVE THEE
~Elizabeth Barrett Browning~

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, -- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! -- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
