I actually saw this news other day when I was surfing Yahoo! cause I was bored. Anyways, it's mentioned that the girl decided to kill for the sake of it rather than for a moral reason?

Imo, there's some serious issues involving this girl especially considering her age @ the time. But like someone else said before, the most chilling part of the story was this:

"I don't know how to feel atm. It was ahmazing. As soon as you get over the 'ohmygawd I can't do this' feeling, it's pretty enjoyable. I'm kinda nervous and shaky though right now. Kay, I gotta go to church now...lol."

^You can tell that when she did commit the murder that she was shaking so hard (out of "excitement") that she couldn't even spell out everything correctly. That last sentence was the real chill thou.

eh.. not really.
"lament"is other peoples feelings; "his actions were very lamentable"
"regret" is a personal feeling; "i feel deeply regretful", or "you should be filled with regret for your horrible actions"

the simply way to say what i believe haikinka is trying to say would be something like "this makes me sad."

which i totally agree with. any old loser can have a kid. doesn't matter how "fit" you might be for the job of parenting. not only that, but modern society's goals in this day and age are to mold anyone that fits into the standardized mold, and anyone who doesn't fit gets brushed aside and left to become.. well.... just left behind. and we are ending up with more and more kids being left behind who just don't fit in like society commands them to, and they are becoming completely disassociated with society and morality.... leading to.. well.. "i killed her just to see what it felt like".

I honestly can't say I feel complete hatred for Alyssa. I feel bad for her circumstances. Of course her decision to kill that girl was really irrational, but I can't say that she deserved that kind of life to begin with.

As for the little girl she killed, she didn't deserve this. May she rest in peace.

Now I'm kind of hesitant to take my anti-depressant Prozac now...

It wasn't the prozac that did it. it was the complete disassociation with morality. that "i want to see what it feels like to kill someone" mentality.

It's still the same thing to me.

To be lamented; regrettable; unfortunate: a lamentable decision.

We have already concluded his feelings as well. Thanks for clarifying though.

I believe the expression is "You Reap What You Sow" if you're gonna do something stupid then make sure you don't regret it.

This tragedy brings a lot of difficult questions. I can only think of a few, but I believe there are many more.
- Can we stop these things from happening? And how? Most likely not, but we need to take a big long look at sociaty and our worship of violence.
- What do we do, with a child that has found killing to be fun?

Her words of apology mean absolutely nothing. It is absolutely unbelievable what she did to that girl. It's even more sad that she used her sister to lure the poor girl to her demise.
