Queue loses track of watched shows

I have many shows on the go on this site, and after putting a show on hiatus for awhile, I notice the queue system loses track of what episode I last watched.

I'm assuming the way the queue works is it keeps a history of the last 100 episodes watched, and updates the series in your queue using that; if you watch too many episodes before returning back to that show, the history is no longer there and the system loses track of your episode count.

The watchlist on the other hand keeps track forever since it tracks each show individually.

Since we can't add any more shows to our watchlist, it's going to become difficult tracking shows with large episode count (i.e. Bleach, Naruto, etc) if you put the show on hold for awhile (like I've done with Bleach while I've waited for CR to get the older episodes).

Would be nice to see a fix in the system for this (if it's possible)

That's correct. The queue keeps track of episodes based on the 100 previous shows watched in your History.
This is something that we're looking to fix, but we don't have a date as to when history will be extended beyond 100 shows.

Oh cool, I was wondering why this happened. I lost my viewing history for Shugo Chara because I hadn't watched it in a while.

Here's an idea, CR mods and devs and other such important people: How about a system that just keeps track of the LAST episode you watched of any series? This is really what I use the history for, and probably a lot of other people use it for this as well. I don't really care that I watched episodes 1-14 of something, what I care about is that I watched episode 15. Since I watched episode 15, I can assume I already watched or don't care about watching 1-14.

I just had a concept in my head... it could keep track of it and actually display it on the anime page! The anime page already shows an orange flag in the upper right corner for shows in your queue, right? So why not put, like, another little flag graphic in the top left, or somewhere else that's clever, that has "Ep. ###" written on it.

Here's a rendition of what this feature might look like.

Had the same issue. My entire queue was gone cause I decided to rematch some old anime and watch a series I put on hold for a bit

I would prefer a system where it just kept track of last episode watched in that series so I can pick up where I left off, which is what i was really using the queue for in the first place. :)
