Not true...I feel sadness for each loss that I know of in life...And with singers it hits us differently..not more nor less....its just they put into words and sounds what our hearts feel and what we can't always express. Each artist has people they've touched...lives they've changed.

Yeah, she may have been 1 amongst thousands but she was played in my house my entire life. My mother sang her at her wedding. She sang her at their 22nd anniversary. I bonded with friends singing poorly to her lyrics. So this 1 death just happens to touch me.

You don't have to have care...but I never demean a person's death and lump it in with other "thousands". No matter who they are.

That's really nice, i grew up as a kid listening to her since my dad would play her songs, same thing with MJ's songs.. so what? I'm sure it does touch you, i really am, and there's nothing wrong with that. I just hate how the world can feel so much "sadness" over the loss of one person when there's people around the world who are dying constantly and no one really cares, they go unnoticed.. That's nice, i just can't stand when so much attention is drawn to the death of one person, regardless of how "special" their life might have been, or what they accomplished

sure I'll bite a bit, unlike most people she gave something back to the community with her music. Now is her life worth more than 1000 other people?? No per-say however it's still sad to see some young with so much die early.

On another note... dear lord...

Right, so much was given back with her music.. i don't think you get the point i'm making, i hate that so much attention goes to the death of one when so many people die and go unnoticed -_- lol "someone young with so much die early"? she was a drug user who screwed up her own career/life.. i'm not too surprised she died early really

Well it happens in mass media what can you do about it?? I will die someday and do you think the news cameras and others will care?? Not unless I make a mark or leave something behind on the world other than that it would be as if I didn't exist at all. Yes I am one of the few that sit and wonder about people that die every day with the huge amount of cat boxes that closed on their lives. Hell one of my main focuses is why when it comes up in a murder .

I know exactly where you're coming from...and the funny thing is MJ death didn't touch me as much because his music didn't reach me. I think singers like any artist just tend to get more attention than "other" people. And there shouldn't be a difference, but what if it seems like they're making a big deal. I mean one "normal" person may only know 300-500 people. Yet (I'm not talking about Celebrities...I don't think they're all inspring) an artist has reached millions of lives. So the sense of loss and mourning just feels greater...depending on mass.

But I'm not trying to sway your opinion...I respect every person's views when they're just honestly expressing themself.

I don't think you do.. MJ's death was just another persons death, i never said it really meant much to me just because i grew up with his music. Okay, that's nice, whatever. I'm not too interested, i've said what i had to and i'm done. If you respect it so much, kindly keep quiet now thank you -_-

ARGH! you people are spelling it wrong and using it wrong!!! *summons a grammar-nazi on you*
"per-se"
oh and.. lol at pic.

anyways, i wish i could react more to this story than thinking "oh god, now we're going to have tributes and be forced listen to her annoying music all over the news for days"

never liked her, couldn't stand her music, she was a terrible actress, won't miss her.
and if this turns out to be drug related? i'll lol a bunch. it's not like people can pretend they don't understand the risks these days.

When you smoke crack for a couple decades your organs tend to shut down after a while.

It's a shame people too stupid to read. They said they don't know the cause of her passing, no one knows if it's drug related or not.

Whitney RIP.
The reason why her death is news is because her singing touched people and that emotional connection makes her death important to more people then the death of a less well known individual . To some she was a goddess, whose artistic ability gave them support, joy hope- happiness. That's why it is such big news. If you have an emotional connection to a musician they become someone you love.

How can you say something like that? i mean like what if someone u knew was on drugs & you really cared about them? & they tried to get help? would you say that if that was the case? . & FYI they don't know EXACTLY what happened to her so you're just going on what u THINK happened, not the stone cold TRUTH. it could be drugs & it could be something else, you don't know . And 9 times out of 10 drug addicts do drugs for a reason, it is not their fault some things in their personal life can't be helped. (not being RUDE i'm just saying)

P.s - > Whitney Houston's voice was BEAUTIFUL ! idc what you or any of the people like you with their mean, judgmental,& rude comments have to say
