Elements aren't limited to the 4 basic elements of nature. Things like Lightning, and Ice are like some sort of sub-element, so they count. I can see wood, and lava possibly not counting, as they're fusions of other elements. On the topic of voting: I can't choose a favorite between Ice, and Lightning, so I didn't vote. |

I was thinking Captain Planet when i read the poll too. If i had to choose it would be wood/vegetation, which is kind of a mix of earth and water, amoung other things. But if only a basic element, it would be earth. |

Lightning is plasma created by an electrical current, where as Fire is a plasma created through friction, or simply.. burning stuff. Ice is a different way to use Water, and are basically 2 sides of the same coin. Lava is using heat, (Fire), to melt stone, (Earth). Wood/Nature is using Water to grow plant life in the ground, (Earth). These are different cases, and are not created by, or from the Naruto or Avatar franchises. They're natural occurrences. Ice, and Lightning may be considered their own elements, but they don't have to be. Where as Lava, and Wood/Nature are combinations of other elements, but they can still be considered elements. From my point of view, here's a little chart of the elements: Naturals: (Water/Ice)--(Fire)--(Earth)--(Wind)------(Lightning) Fusions: (Fire+Earth=Lava)--(Water+Earth=Nature)--(Water+Fire=Steam), ect. Other elements: (Light)--(Dark)--(Metal), and maybe a few more, possibly Gravity? This is nothing to get too serious about, and elements can be classified in a huge amount of ways. |

The Primary Elemental Planes: Earth, Fire, Air, Water, plus Positive (creation/energy) and Negative (decay/draining). These are traditionally arranged in a sphere-like shape, surrounding the "Material Plane" (ie, the normal world), the 4 elements around the equator, positive on top, negative below. The Para-Elemental Planes are produced where the Elemental Planes come into contact with each other: Smoke (Air and Fire), Ice (Air and Water), Ooze (Earth and Water), and Magma (Fire and Earth). The Quasi-Elemental Planes are produced where the Elemental Planes touch the Energy Planes: At the intersection of the Positive Energy Plane and the planes of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water are Lightning, Minerals, Radiance, and Steam respectively. Around the Negative Energy Planes are Vacuum, Dust, Ash, and Salt. [yay wikipedia! coz it's been a long damn time since i dug thru my Manual of the Planes.] mind you, the "Extended" Naruto set seems to be quite busy as well... however there's a lot of stuff in there i just couldn't consider even potentially "elemental"; ie, sound. perfectly valid power, somewhat strange "elemental". but here i am calling something from an anime where the main hero is the host to a 9-tailed beast to be strange.. lol. |

Since the natural light we observe here on planet earth is from our sun and other stars, I reckon that Fire would be your element.
or at least as close as you'll get And since I'm a Leo and a Fire dragon, my element is of course Fire as well. 1Love from, Mr.Ninja |
