Hikaru noticed the difference in strength between Principal Schezella and Merriot. It dawned on her powerful the Elders actually were and how each of them deserved their positions. Then she pondered and got curious on why they decided to make her go to school If they really wanted her to suffer like she thought, they could have chained her up or somewhere along those lines. But here she is being able to do something she never was allowed before, which was to roam around freely. Now, wasn’t the time to think of these things, Hikaru will have to figure it out later on. She must first focus at the situation at hand. The three Alpha Students who had experience in fighting could not injure the monster at all. Their archery and sword skills were useless, yet they persisted relentlessly. Finally, the monster showed first signs of wavering. It would be distracted for brief moments. Principal Schezella was able to speak to them without fear that the monster would overpower her. She instructed the seven of them to go to the entrance. She left something that she was supposed to give for their lecture today.

They quickly ran to the entrance, and saw 10 boxes with their names on it. All of them were hesitant to open it but they knew they had to do it, especially upon hearing the monster’s screeches. On the count of three, they opened it at the same time. In their hands was an instrument respective to the ones they play. But it looked distinct from the usual wood and brass material. It felt like the instrument was alive since it had a soft vibration radiating from the core.

“Wow these are awesome! Hahaha, don’t you think these are part of the secrets of the City?”, Kira said in a her monotone voice. The word, secret lingered on Hikaru’s mind. The small and easy to carry instruments didn’t seem all that different compared to the huge ones like the piano that Kaito was holding did. It was made into a miniature version equivalent to small instrument size. He could carry it around like a backpack put in front. After initial reaction, Koharu said in a questioning tone, “How will these instruments even help us?” There was a silent paused until Ryuu smirked, “Then we’ll just find out when we get back.” They picked up Aiumi’s, Erik’s and Naomi’s boxes and ran back to the monster. Surprisingly, Madison kept her mouth shut and didn’t make a commotion as usual.

Principal Schezella looked relieved seeing all of them come back with their instruments. She said, “Those instruments will be your weapons. Playing them while you usually do, while channeling your thoughts, you will be able to create attacks like my ropes, which are holding this monster now. Well, since its you’re first time to use that, you won’t be to make something as complicated as these ropes but you’ll be able to create enough power to shoot. Aim for the monster’s head at all cost.”

They all tried playing their instruments. Like Principal Schezella said, it was difficult to do both at once. A small orb of light formed in front of them but like a bubble, it burst immediately. After a few trials, Hiro shouted, “I did it! I did it!” He smiled then went back to being serious as he hit the monster. Ryuu frowened, then shot his right after. The monster wailed in pain. It was a goo sign. Hikaru finally stabilized her orb and shot hers at the same time with Aiumi and Naomi. The rest followed not long after. Finally Principal Schezella didn’t need to restrain the monster so she delivered the finishing blow. The monster turned to dust and disappeared through thin air. All of them cheered and almost hugged each other until Principal Schezella cleared her throat.

She was straight faced. It looked scary seeing her that way since everyone was used to her cheery personality. In a stern voice, she said, “I haven’t forgotten what happened earlier. Why was it chaotic? Now, are all of you are shutting up?!” I think we’ll have some well-deserved punishment later. For now…” Her voice drifted off as her tone softned “I need to explain what has happened earlier.”

End of chapter 3 part 4.

Ok so I got around to reading this and because I need to read the last chapter to remember where we left off. Aside from a few grammatical and spelling errors and a cliff-hanger ending haha I think its short. I think it would be good if you ended it after Schezella explained what happened in the greenhouse and ended it with something different. Not much revelation was revealed and its kind of like a filler-type chapter. Anyway, I still love your story!!!! Please update soon

Really? I thought it was long enough since it reached 6 pages in my notebook. Oh well, I have problems with making it longer anyway.

I was originally going to make Schezella explain everything but I felt like I won't have enough content for the next part. And this was surprisingly more interesting than I originally planned. This was actually supposed to be a lecture chapter, explaining the technicalities but I felt bored just thinking about it and resorted to this.

But thanks again Mer. You are my number 1 contributor to improving my works

I don't there is anything to be pointed out, since they are already pointed out. x)
But I was taught whenever there is a new speaker, you start a new line to not confuse the speakers, but it may be just me. x)

I’m sorry about that….. I’m not familiar with the rules of writing. Everything here is a figment of my imagination so it tends to be as cluttered and unorganized like I am. But I shall take what you said in consideration. I noticed also that in this type of story, which has more character interactions, separating the lines might be necessary.

On the other hand, good news for everyone! Finally thought of what’s going to happen for the entire chapter 4. I still have to flesh out the details but the title will definitely be: Bonds to the Past. Hahaha, can you foresee what may happen?
