I don't really like to. I like being by myself when I'm reading manga :S I read mostly romance manga, and I feel sorta weird having someone either watching me read or reading the same page with someone when it comes to the cutesy moments.. I don't know why  I'm okay with anime sometimes, but sometimes I feel uncomfortable too and you?
And don't tell me I feel like this because the manga has smut or something because it doesn't |

Heck, the manga is only big enough for one personso Idk who the hell would be reading a manga with another person. Maybe if it was like 3 feet wide or something. Plus, I feel more comfortable reading a manga by myself because I can think out the scene in my own head without worrying if the other person is finish with that page or not.

Haha no way. I like a lot of ecchi manga, so of course I can't read those in front of people. But even when it isn't ecchi, manga can be pretty unpredictable, and people tend to be very misunderstanding unless they also like manga. So I read alone.

I do too, I like to keep things to myself; even from my parents & brothers. They seem to like to know what I'm always doing, but I just keep it to myself. It feels awkward when I'm like reading a romantic manga, so I just read it to myself.

i like to read manga by myself. i dont want others to get into it.
i feel like its my own world and i dont want to share it with people i know.
i noe its self ish but im sure all u guys feel the same way.

I don't mind letting someone borrow my manga, unless they're known to ruin things easily. But I will not share it at the same time. It's just like with my computer. Don't stand over me when I'm reading or working on something. You will be threatened a violent and horrible end.

I just feel really uncomfortable reading manga around people because there is just so much room to remain comfortable and unlike watching an anime, I want to go at my own pace. Then there's reading manga in public which is also uncomfortable because it's pretty graphic(as in "visual" more so than censor-worthy) and i feel like I'd be more interrupted with someone looking.

If i read with people they usually distract me and i'll have to re-read the same parts again since i try to see the scenes inside my head so i usually read by myself
Plus if they started talking when i was reading i'd be pissed at being interupted constantly |

I don't like reading manga or much of anything else with another person because I think better alone, and it's nicer and easier to drift into fantasy world that way. But I can compartmentalize if I must and read almost anything, even the questionable stuff, just about anywhere even if people are around...as long as they're not crowding me and trying to read my book.

If it's a comedy manga without action/ romance like Yotsuba or.. Zoushoku Shoujo Plana-chan
then I wouldn't mind reading it with someone else. I do read online manga with my sister sometimes.
but she's been busy with schoolworks so I read manga alone most of the time.
