While I have mixed feelings about a big show ending on such a low point, there's another thing that kinda gets to me. Information regarding the show ending was based on rumours for way too long with no word from the studio (or CR for that matter).

It is a bit ridiculous when one of the shows that really helped build CR is gone and the only thing we get is an announcement about another show filling the timeslot. One could speculate that CR was under some kind of NDA and that this was out of their hands, but the work put into communicating that the show was ending has not set an example for anyone to follow.

I don't get why haters are so happy if a series ends, they don't have to watch it so it shouldn't bother them if it's still running.

Bleach has been running years longer than I've been watching anime. It's almost as if my anime watching routine is thrown out of whack.

I gonna miss Bleach. It was my favorite Anime/manga, even if the story has deviated a little to what was originally planed. I would expect to see some OVA/new series/Movies that finish the story line.

Though honestly I'm not really to surprised that its ending. They royally screwed up the Arrancar arc. I mean there was like 3 filler seasons in between one or 2 episodes of the main story. It just messed with flow of everything. The planning could have really been better.

actually, all it says is that its ending on that time slot. that doesn't necessarily mean its ending for good. it could be going to a new station or a different time slot.

Still in denial I see.

It may or may not be ending for good, but it certainly isn't going to a new station or different time slot.

how am I in denial? I'm simply taking what the article said at face value. Either it ends or it doesn't. my feelings on whether it should or not have no impact on what happens so why even worry about it, AKA going into denial about it is stupid and a waste of time

Your referral to "the article" indicates that you have incomplete information. I assume you are referring to the article from about a month ago, and not this one.

I would have expected even most disbelievers would have gotten a clue when at the end of 365 when Kon announced that was the last Shinigami Picture Book.

Frankly, I'm still expecting some purveyors of malware to take advantage of the desperation of some Bleach fans by posting links to "Bleach episode 367" next week, and using that to further social engineer getting the person to install said malware on their system (such as by requiring installing a special codec or player).

On a less serious note, there may be a few pranksters or Bleach haters essentially rickrolling Bleach fans by posting fake episodes.

I can understand everyone's desperation. I follow the manga as well as the main series, and I'm so used to the studios flying so close to the latest manga's that I have to admit, like most other people I expected them to do a year's worth of fillers like they did with the Naruto series. From my research on-line, it's my understanding that the manga itself might have as much as four years left in it I suppose it depends if Kubo is sick of it yet, after all he's being doing this for 10 years now.

I think most people agreed that 366 was the final episode at first, then I came across as yahoo answers posting

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120327173907AAQhzzj

An answers states that the show was simply moving from TV Tokyo to TV Osaka however I've also read other sources that state that TV Osaka merely made a mistake and didn't update their listings properly.

I'm fairly certain in my own mind that Bleach as ended now, for me this is a little bitter sweet. On the one hand, many fans will be saved from a year or two of filler (end of naruto's first anime anyone), and to be honest episode 366 did a very good job ending the series. We got to see Ichigo as the powerful Shinigami and a fantastic new Bankai in action.

But there's sooo many lose ends in the Bleach anime.

* possible spoilers, but really just me guessing *

1) The spirit King, we've heard this referenced a few times, it was even part of Aizen's justification for doing what he did. Aizen refers to it as "it" rather than a person. So he obviously has some very poisonous feelings towards it.
2) Aizen isn't dead, and Renji's been training to kill the man, we know that Renji's bankai has been largely incomplete until now, so how much more powerful has he become?
3) If Ichigo's father has had all this power for so long why has he taken a back seat role al this time? Except for the main fight with Aizen, was it really only ever to take his son's powers from him? Could he know what awaits Ichigo in the future? Has he fought the spirit king himself or was his relationship to the Qunicy's what made him largely turn his back on being a soul reaper?
4) When they were producing the sword to restore Ichigo's powers it was Ulquiorra who asked if it was ok for them to steal Ichigo's future. So they both know somethings coming, the question is what?

I could go on, and I will of course continue to import Bleach manga in from Japan as often as I'm able. But the long and short of it is, that Bleach's anime might be over but with so much story left (and lets face it Kubo made the Aizen arc last forever lol) I don't see that manga ending any time soon.

Bleach is a big money spinner, and while a year or two of fillers would piss a lot of people off, I'd have cheered it on if for no other reason then it would give us the certainty that they would eventually get back to the final arc. Now with the ending of the anime nothing is certain at all, so many animes have ended early never to be picked up again. I hope it doesn't happen this time around, and I hope to see Bleach Shippuden (haha) back in the future.

For those of you who want the certainty wait for them to translate the Bleach manga's into English or do what I did and learn Japanese so you can read the new ones.

Anyway, I'm going to celebrate this anime with an episode 1 to * as much as I can take * marathon. See you again after episode 40 at the very least! Time to make poor crunchyrolls and my ISP's bandwidth cry lol.

It's truly the end of a very popular anime series era indeed with the final ever 366th episode of this show

Read the manga instead of crying about the anime being over!

Feb 20, #479, was the last Xcution chapter in the manga. Feb 27, #480, starts the new story arc. You can read the manga online legally at vizmanga.com, just subscribe to Shonen Jump Alpha. I would think back issues are available for new members.
