Okay, I'm only going to do 9, because there are just too many to decide from, and these I knew were in my definitive top reads.
So, without further ado, and in no particular order.......
Skip Beat! -- Love this manga! Great plot, strong female lead, totally atypical romance and comedy! (One of my top faves in this list!)
Dengeki Daisy -- So many sweet moments in this series. And not your run-of-the-mill shoujo -- The heroine is strong-willed
Oresama Teacher -- Yet another strong female lead,(I sense a pattern....) who's a "reformed" delinquent. This manga is
SO FUNNY!!!
Love So Life -- Ooey Gooey sugary fluff with an extra side of something else fluffy (cotton candy? Marshmallows?) It's one of those that
just makes you smile.
Game Over -- It's short -- 5 chapters, but I just love it. Just don't think about the age gap -- The mangaka does a fantastic job at diverting
you from dwelling on their age difference. It's just really cute.
Diamond Dust -- Manhwa! Oh gosh, this story is sometimes just so heartbreaking... but so good.
Hapi Mari -- Okay, so does the female protagonist urk me at times? YES. She can be incredibly annoying. Is the plot sometimes a little
disjointed and cliche? Yeah. But does it satisfy that girly need for a little fangirling every once in awhile? Totally. This has
been tagged as smut though, just so you know!
And rounding out the last picks:
Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun and Kimi ni Todoke -- These are both high school aged setups with light plot -- and sometimes that's just what I feel like reading, even being as old as I am. (That's okay still, right?) :)
Gosh, SOO Many other ones come to mind... had this been a different day, maybe I would have chosen some of them differently -- sometimes it just depends on your mood and what you feel like reading!
