Okay, this is just ridiculous. In our agreement toward a premium membership it was stated that there will be no ads. Yet now there is this obnoxious front page ad that is not pleasant to see. Are you really going to lie on your agreement Crunchyroll? Please tell me if you plan on not following your side of your agreement. Do not feel your clause 3 has any impact on my choice. You are forcing paying users to look at your ridiculous ads and force us to download plug-ins to block them.

"You will not see any display ads except for direct sponsorships, which include front-page takeovers and integrated promotions. Premium Members will never see video advertisements for the videos in their section."

http://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_comparison?src=bottombar see number 3.

personally have the the recent page bookmarked and I normally don't see the front page

Although I felt the same way and then went back and read it to make sure and of course there is the fine print.
No ads in the shows and most of the pages though so it's mostly harmless even if annoying.

Edit: I see you noticed clause 3 - and you edited your Original post so I guess ignore that part

So despite what you read and agreed to, you feel it has no impact on your choice?

Of course, I'm not bothered by anything on the main page as it is quite rare that I even visit it.

How do you not visit the main page? Do you have a bookmark toward the forums or anime section? I downloaded the plug-in to block the ads but I shouldn't have had to. I pay for no advertisements and they place a clause saying they can sneak in advertisements on the front page when ever they feel like it? Crunchyroll used to be more understanding and all about it's users, but now all they care for is more money and less customer satisfaction it seems. Of course a business wants more and more money, but to sacrifice customer satisfaction is just bad. It's like paying for a anti-virus program and it saying "for free we search your computer for viruses." "if you pay you get viruses removed, except ones we don't really want to remove."

As I use Firefox, I just type in a few letters of the page I want to go to (i.e., for for the forums, que for the queue) and select it from the drop down list that appears below the address bar.

Keep in mind what you think you paid for and what you actually paid for can be two different things. That is the reason for agreements; to spell out what you are actually getting in return for your money.

Which is the exact reason why people hate companies and corporations. They do not like their agreements, but what choice do they have? Not use them? Okay... then they will get arrested for downloading them illegally or something. I initially paid my membership two or three years ago for no ads and instant access to videos. I had firefox too, but for some reason it likes to (Not Responding) to me every time I open it. This has been happening since Firefox 10. I would just like to see a company or site that does not hide behind their clauses and give their customers what is only fair to them.

I come to this example again:

Say there was only 1 anti-virus company in the whole world that blocks 100% of viruses. Now this company has a few options:

(a) Free (only search for viruses.)
(b) Basic (only remove 50% viruses.)
(c) Advanced (only remove 80% viruses.)

Now, you want to pay for 100%, but too bad, that is not an option, tough luck.

Aren't you over-reacting a bit to a front page ad (agreed that is annoying)

But except for what they said would happen which is you will get an ad on the home screen, the benefits outweigh the small inconvenience

-HD streaming of the programs you like
-No commercials or Ads during the playback of the video

Granted I use adblock on FF and don't have any issues.

If you pay your cable company, satelite provider, or even hulu plus you still get ads and commercials. Licenising of products is not cheap nor the bandwidth that is required to stream the higher quality of these shows.

If it bothers you that much you can go to illegal sites (which are dwindling due to this new Vendetta) and mush through "ADS" to get to the content that for most of those sites is definitely not the quality of this site.

I am beyond confused why you can't bookmark/favorite the pages you frequent and avoid the home screen. Is there that much to do on the home screen?
