I'm not much of a caller so I can go without a cellphone for quite a while, I have however gotten quite used to having the Internet in my pocket these days.

my phone spends more time on its charger than it does in my hand.
I pretty check my texts and missed calls probably about twice a day.

Not very long, I'm always attached to it. It's basically my computer. Except it loads things more quickly and is generally more efficient. The only thing it's lacking is Adobe Flash (DAMN iOS)

At home there are more options to talk or contact online these days, though once on the road/when out and about a cell/iPhone is needed, especially on long road trips. But personally due to online options I can last without a phone for a bit of time at some times.

I'm hardly emotionally attached to having a cellular phone, but the utility they provide would be difficult to give up. They're extremely handy in emergencies, and they provide a constant line of communication to my workplace.

I tell my parents to just turn off my phone and not pay for it anymore. I never use it. Nor have I ever needed it.
