Unless youve been living on a remote pacific island, then you'll probably be aware that the third and final installment of the Mass Effect saga is coming out.
To give us a taste of whats to come, game developer BIOWARE released a pretty darn big demo on 360,PS3 and PC.

In this demo you get a chance to see whats happened to Command Shepard since the events of the last game, and to experience the up coming fight against the Reaper menace. Its also notable in that you are introduced to a new charachter and Squadmate- James Vega ( voiced by Freddie Prinze Junior! ) ,a veteran soldier, and we see an old squadmate/love interest in Ash or Kaiden return too.

I for one LOVE the ME games and having been desperate to play this demo...and i wasnt disapointed!
Even though its only a demo, you can choose to with either a default male/female Shepard or create your own which is a really nice touch to include! I spent ages just creating my Shepard alone! and after youve created your charachter you are thrown straight into the game.
If your familiar with the previous games then you will be right at home with ME3,not much has really changed gameplay wise-which is good as i personally dont think anything really needed changing.

The large cinematic events are amazing, the graphics are really nice too..over all for a demo its looking good and bodes well for the complete game.

MULTIPLAYER??
Yep..you read that right friend,ME3 includes a multiplayer element..and a taster of this is included in the demo for you to enjoy! Pretty cool eh?
You basically choose from one of six classes-as in the game, and then join with three others online into a squad where your aim is to secure various areas in the ME world against Cerberus and other enemy threats.
Weapons and armour are up-gradeable by spending points earnt in combat. You can buy two types of lucky dip crates..and see what goodies you get! I love the fact that you never know what your going to receive..all of its usefull so you wont get cheated out of hard won credits.

The multiplayer mode is very similar to 'Horde' mode on Gears of War..you and your squad fight through a series of levels and try to survive against increasing odds.
You also get objectives to complete whilst fending off the worst the enemy can throw at you..its great and very atmospheric and at times pretty challenging!
The multi-player aspect also crosses over into the main game and can to a certain extent influence what happens in the main game.
But fear not,as its purely optional you dont have to combine the two..i thought that at first, but after having so much fun in multiplayer, ill be joining the online fight against the Reapers!

Overall id have to say this demo is absolutely great and i urge you to try it out! 9/10

**Newsflash!!**
If you have played the other ME games then you will know that you can transfer your charchter over to ME3-including ALL the decisions you have made thoughout the saga up to this point!
If you havent played the previous games,or only the second onr then fear not!
The Mass Effect Genesis dlc is on hand to help you out.
Its a '15 min' interactive comic that details all the crucial events and allows you to decide what happened in the past.

Id personally recommend that you play ME1 and ME2..but if you dont have the time then the Genesis dlc will allow you to enjoy ME3 as much as a veteran player.

Thats all folks..you can wake up now!;)..Seriously,i hope you have learnt something and enjoy the game!

So close!!!!!

And yes...I"m not a big fan of Mutli-player but ME managed to make me even play that. And I can't wait to see how playing with the Kinect is going be. Simple telling Garrus "Headshot" and he does it is going to be something else.

I do a creepy fangirl squeal every time I see something that says Mass Effect xD

I just wish people didn't see it as your typical fight to save the world game. I mean depending, and I'm pretty sure its gonna go well, how Mass Effect 3 turns out, Bioware would have done what many series have failed to do. They are going to create the perfect trilogy, with amazing connecting stories and interactions.

I mean Xeonosaga and Shemnue for example, were great games in themselves, but their sequels either didn't go as planned or they never made a sequel at all. I mean my mind is still boggled by the fact that the decisions I made five years ago in Mass Effect 1 are going to come back and either haunt me or help me in three. Which is going to mean several replays for each three games, and the gameplay is so different each playthru its still exciting each time you are another or the the same Commander Shepard.

The ME trilogy is in my top three all time games ( counting as one choice )..ive literally played the first two games twenty times over just to see new things and enjoy the amazing story-and will do so again once the third game comes out!
I will be genuinely sad when this saga ends..but happy too ,having been a part of true gaming perfection.
