Hardback all the way! I don't like the creases on the spine and that is preventable with hardback.

I'm on the fence. I prefer reading paperbacks (at least for smaller books), they just feel better in my hands. They're cheaper. On the other hand, hardcovers look better on a shelf, more durable, best for larger books. I choose on a case by case basis depending on price and availability, but I'm not too picky.

9/10 times I prefer having a hardcover book. Something about the rigidity is just more pleasing to me.
