I LOVE getting my paws on a hardback. It says to me "You paid attention to the release of this thing! Here is your reward! May your pages never dog-ear!"

I don't mind paperback at all and of course it's great manga is in paperback because it's faster turning the pages and lighter to hold. but having the hardback just tells me that for once I was on my game when something came out - so it's like those early release limited editions in my mind lol

Either one is fine for me. What I can't deal with are digital versions.

Hardcover's usually release before paperback versions so depending on the comic that'll be the one I aim to get. However there is an insane demand for first release hardcover's and they sell out quite quickly despite the sometimes insane price tag so they can be harder to get.

Basically I go with paperback if hardcover is not really an option.

Paperback definitely, although I do really like old books that are hardcover--like the ones with the cover made of a solid color with the words kinda etched into it...

I have a Kindle too, but I rarely use it (I may or may not have lost it,,,) I have the app on my phone so if I'm somewhere where I unexpectedly have to wait for something, I can pull something up to read.

Personally I find Paperback easier to hold while reading than Hardcover, especially really long novels. I like to bend the book as I read along and it's lighter to carry around.

Side-note, I do have a Kindle but for whatever reason, I don't get fully immersed into the literature. Does that happen to anyone else?

Depends. Either if I'm reading but hardcover when I'm buying (if the price is under $20. On Amazon they usually are)
