Hardcover or Paperback?

What kind of books are you talking about? When there is not a specification mentioned, the first thing I think of when someone says 'books' is sketchbook. I don't have a preference whether it's hardcover or paperback. I am able to design the cover anyway. How durable the paper is is what I care about the most.

Trouble is, a bunch of the stuff that I like to read is only available as hardcover or the infamous Trade Paperback (looks like a big paperback and costs as much as hardcover.) If I can get them for free I'll download e-books and use Kindle for PC....
