Depends on the book. I prefer a hardcover if I consider it a really good book, which might me serve well for years. Otherwise I don´t care if paperback or hardcover. I don´t really like e-books.

hardcover for longer books because i'm the kind of reader that doesn't want to bend the spine too much and keep the book in good condition
almost all the paperbacks i own now doesn't have those spine creases but the books i had when i was younger all have those bends in the spine

i'll get a paperback for quick reads though

Harcover, especially on books I love and want to keep in good condition. Paperbacks are nice too.
Don't like the whole digital thing, I read from screen only if I have to. Don't like digital manga either = I spend loads of money to manga because it annoys me to read it from screen
I just love the feel of a book and the way the pages smell....♥

Well, I prefer a hardcover and I will probably only take a paperback if there is no hardcover version.

I will do both, but I prefer hardback, because I like the way it rests in my lap, and the pages are bigger. it has some weight to it. However, I also like a larger paperback, so maybe it has to do with size.

Paperback, easier to handle and read IMO, and it's thinner.

Hard cover. Looks real nice on a book shelf, lasts longer. More impressive looking.

I like either, but I tend to try and get paperback, just because it's cheaper.

Hardcovers because it wont over fold on the spine to cause the pages to fall out.
But I do get paperbacks if there's no hardcovers.
