Anyone else believe that maybe coincidence is more than that? I say maybe because I have no proof just some weird things that happen from time to time. Examples are.

Talking about Bald Eagles only to have one fly by. I've never seen one in the wild before and we weren't out in the middle of nowhere we were in my home town, small but a city none the less.

Having someone mention Jury Duty only to have a Jury notification end up in my mail box three days later.

Seeing a street sign in a picture on the net that reads "Autumn St." only to run into a woman I haven't seen in years named Autumn.

Is it at least possible that coincidences are something more or are they just coincidences.

the joke was, commandos turn invisable, so by chance u would hit one eventually.

It happened to me too.

I was reading Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, where the main character was Roland, and another was called Jake. I was pretty obsessed with this series back then.

I walked into the library thinking about them and the first book I picked up had the name Roland on the first page.

I put it down, thinking, "freakish coincidence?" and picked up another book. It mentioned the name Jake on the first page.

I think... when your mind is intensely focused on something... you attract it into your life. It's called... the power of Magnetic Thinking.

A confluence of fated occurrences.

You're thinking of The Law of Attraction, also. New Age stuff.

Yeah I have had stuff like that happen to me. Sometimes I think that we somehow effect the reality around us by simply thinking on something intensely or by putting thoughts out into the world. Of course then my logical mind does a smack down on me lol. So I really don't know what to believe. I feel one way but think another :-/.

I swear I didn't know that law existed until I googled it. I was going to write a book on it too darnit.

All things are interconnected at some level, as described in systems theory. Beyond that, I don't really believe in divine providence or serendipity in the paranormal sense.

I had to clean up my classroom for credit, and my crush showed up early, so he could leave early to do something. My team leader and I were talking about him, and I said that he should slap him on his arm for leaving us to mop the whole class. When we were done with cleaning the classroom, I saw my crush outside the building. So I slapped his arm, and I walk to my next class. hee..hee..yeah coincidence ^ - ^.

I believe in coincidence... but doesn't rely on it too much. :)
I like doing things on purpose - coincidences are more like luck/blessings for me.

I perceive coincidence to be the same thing as deja vu, a glitch in the matrix's code
