Old people are funny.

Anyone with that kind of mentality is as wise/mature as a 3rd grader.

Actually, I think people in their thirties are still very young.

Everyone is made to beleive that your life ends at 30, there is nothing to look forward to, everything starts to go south.. but you know what... at least I'm not watching MTV and shopping at the Mall.

I'm asked things by kids all the time . . . I've never been referred to as a "geezer" , , , "asshole, prick, jerk", I hear that all the time...
The younger people keep asking me questions, (even the ones that call me nasty names), so I like to think that means I have something to contribute.

I think that stopped happening in the late '90 . . . or at least that's when I started to notice...

I was in my late 30's then...

I really don't understand why kids these days do not appreciate the wisdom of their elders. Older people know stuff and understand stuff that younger people don't.

~ o,..,o ~ Hmmm I'm 53 and i feel like i'm 16. Most of the younger people here on this site act older than i do and i'm not sure why. True i have life experiences, and can give advice on things, but i also get a lot of good advice from people in their 20's. My husband is 18 years younger than me, and he is starting to get old on me. When i was very little, i acted like a grown up and could hold very interesting conversations with older people. Now i'm not sure what is going on with me because i'm not sure i feel comfortable talking to older people that act old. They would not approve of my conduct i suppose. But WTF this is me, and i don't care if they approve or not.

I admire you for that! Since you're way younger in heart you're probably going to outlive us all. I'm going to be 53 one day, and I hope I still have my "youthful" spirit. And if you were to "act your age" you'd be living a lie.

You're only as old as you feel. Even though my dad is in his 40's he still gets around and can be just as childish as I am.

I like the stories. The older the better: tell me about that youngin' Farrah Fawcett and how she thinks she's such hot stuff.
