it's good to listen to their opinion. i don't see them as old geezers, just older. as long as they're not stubborn and stuck up then they're cool to me.

That's because we don't shower 2+ times a day like we did when we were in our 20's, or take baths in cologne/perfume.

Age only counts if you are a wine or a cheese.

Young whipper-snappers! Get off my lawn! Hehehehehe.

Nobody is old until they hit their 70s. ...says my Godmother.

Most elders I have met and are in my life are great and intelligent conversationalists. They have experienced every possible phase youngsters are currently going through and give you the best and most wise insight to the matter.

Now, elders behind the wheel, that's a different story.

you will close your eyes and go to sleep, then wake up one morning, look in the mirror and see that 10 years have past you just like that

then you question what have you done in that time, have you grown,?

then you find you are essentially the same but have more responsibilities and no one cares about you as much as when you were younger

then you realize how foolish you were back then, not only of the things you did and the perceptions you held, but how age really and truly is relative

I figure this is a good place to ask. Do most young people see everyone over 30 as being lame and having no valid points of view or do us geezers still have good traits.

Well, for your information, being 30-ish is still incredibly young. In no way do I think that being old is lame and have no valid points of view. I respect those that are older than me, especially the elderly 60~100 years old.

I think they are wise and full of wisdom. I think it is the young people who are lame and having no valid points of view who just do stuff to satisfies their hormones.

DW dudes, you are good as you are right now.

When I was 9, I wondered what the world would be like when I was and adult. I wondered what kind of career I would have. Would I have a family? Would I go to war? Would I live to be 50? When I turned 60 I have more aches and pains but in my mind I feel the same as I did when I was 20. When I turned 65 I discovered anime. I found the sense of fantasy, magic and romance that I had when I was younger.
As people age some will forget their childhood dreams and fantasies while others keep their imaginations alive all their life. Be friends with and talk to people of all ages, you might be surprised.

PS: Don't refer to me as elderly.
