Now don't be like that =D I'm not really a fan or Japanese black or death metal, but from what I understand, black metal in Japan is heavily influenced of the second wave of black metal and the Norwegian band which represented it, like Mayhem, Darkthrone and Burzum. I guess the Japanese black metal scene will have the evolution as the Scandinavian had, if so... their third wave's gonna be awesome! Just listen to Manierisme for example: http://youtu.be/uoYloHQ6J-I As for death metal, most of it were more deathgrind than death metal. http://youtu.be/Va_jmZiGDBg - that's Woundeep, from Japan. So in conclusion: Sure there are some good Japanese black and death metal bands but I don't think it's different than the western scenes. That's why I'd rather stay with the western bands. Not because it's not good, but because they don't take the genre and put a twist on it, like other genres. |

Eta Carinae - Probably the most interesting prog-metal band in Gothenburg
