hunting is wrong, as most only take it as a sport for fun. horrible. its evil and just shows how bad humans are. hunting is just as bad as killing a human. you need a sick mind to kill an animal for fun.
I fail how you can believe that animal death and human death are just as bad.

Let me put it to you this way. Let's say you live on a farm. And on this farm you have chickens. All's fine and dandy.
Well, you see, there's this bastard of the farm belt (and, well, everywhere) known as the coyote. Coyotes are likely to
try to kill/eat your chickens. What is the easiest/most economical way to prevent this? The answer is simple. Ammunition for a small
caliber rifle costs like fifteen cents a round. So, you shoot the coyotes. I see nothing wrong with this.

Yeah. I'd like to to hunting

But I'd prefer to use traps and poisoned arrows/darts to kill my prey while I wait for it. Maybe have 2 or 3 pitfalls for larger animals on ground and a few small snares to get some birds. When not around I'd secure the traps and put them back up when needed. Of course nothing would go to waste. Bones could be used to make some awsome furniture, Spikes/arrows/darts for future hunts, toothpicks and many other things. Pelts for blankets and clothing. Meat, some of the entrails and blood for food. Feathers for pillows, quils, clothing, decoration and fishing equipment.

As for the comments about hunting beeing cruel: That's what the foodchain is about. But as humans we can think about what we do and only kill to get food and equipment. It's when people stops thinking things go wrong and there'll be a waste of resources

Hit Post before I actually meant to but I think its very cowardly to kill animals that can't fight back.

Do you eat meat? cause i you do you are a fucking hypocrite.

I've never been hunting. I want to go. And, since I eat meat, I don't see how it could go against my morality or the morality of any other meat eater. Saying you'll eat meat but don't want to be around when the animal's killed is like sentencing an innocent man to the electric chair but not wanting to be there when he dies. If you're going to do one thing, why would you turn down the opportunity to do the other?

I'm a Canadian. Hunting and shooting is kinda a big part of our heritage. I also eat what I kill.

...Except coyotes. Fuck coyotes.

I don't hunt. I'm not going to criticize anyone who is a hunter, but it just isn't my thing. I love nature.

Killing animals for sport is unnecessary however for means such as clothing or food it is acceptable.

I've never been hunting. I guess I just don't wake up thinking, "Oh, I feel like killing something today!" lol

Seriously, if your hobby is killing something just for fun, I would say you have many other issues.

I haven't gone hunting personally, I've been wanting to go but haven't put forth any real effort into actually doing it so the fault is mine.

As for my opinion on the sport I have no issues with it. I read an article a few years ago about how in a county near where I live they banned the hunting of deer for a few years and they had a population explosion with the animals encroaching into human habitation more than was acceptable so they reinstated the hunting season to control the population and protect the human habitat.

I'm not a big fan of it. I mean, if you hunt and don't get it taxidermy, I'm fine. But it irritates me when someone hunts then has the head and neck of a deer stuffed (or any animal). I guess it's because I feel it's wasteful and glorifies killing a living thing >.> I don't think I'll actually ever hunt. I prefer my animals already dead and ready for purchase from a meat market >.>
