I'm an anti-theist, and I personally think that religion is a very dangerous and immoral thing.
It has obstructed people to live their lives for many years, and will do so in the future.
It endangers people in wars, makes them vulnerable to diseases(thanks to not using a condom, or vaccination).
It stands in the way of scientific progress, social progress and moral progress.

Yeah, I do not think I have anything positive to say about religion unfortunatly.

I'd reccomend to watch : Stephen Hawking: Does God Exist? on youtube. It's a documentary where Stephen Hawking explains why he belives it is impossible for a god to exist and it cleared a lot up for me.

I believe religion is just a group where you can share your ideas and beliefs with the same scope of interest.

Overall I like the ideas & concepts behind religion, I don't hate it but I do hate when ya go to a religious building. Man & woman seem to spew all this hateful words.

Religion is that little bit of hope that some people need to get through their day. The idea that everything is happening according to some plan by a merciful all knowing and all loving higher being. Religion isn't going away because humanity still needs it and it was created for a reason.

Personally I don't really have a core set of beliefs. There is some sort of higher being/beings somewhere but as to their feelings about this little section of place and time that they created but they are there.

I believe in God but not religion,i think religion is jus a way to control ppl, shud it matter how many gods or God there may be,point is we know wats good an bad an wat the right thing to do is,y shud we b bound to it because of religion,we shud do it because we want to not because its part of a certan religions values,But jus doing things jus for God alone an for spiritual enlightenment thats way less stressful an more free,im sure God dnt want u worsjiping him to b a burden, religions make erything into hate,oh jus because im not a christian im the devil...oh really, jus for u thinkin so narrow minded makes them more of a devil then me because,if it came to it they wud kill or attack me jus for not being in the same religion as them if it came to it an i wont have a second thought about taking ur life....smh sad but true

So few people know anything about their own religion, let alone any other religion to which they don't subscribe. Certain religions actually do promote violence, and numerous parts of most modern religions come from changes made by man after the advice or scriptures of their deities. Suicide wasn't a sin until ~60 AD I believe when people were attempting to martyr themselves too often. The Pope formally acknowledged evolution as more than just an idea, but somehow people still like to refute it citing religion. Religion has served a strong function in our societal evolution and possibly more than that, but people seem to use it now as a shield to protect them from any conflicting ideas regardless of how coherent they might or might not be. I think the phrase "Jesus take the wheel" sums up what I find wrong with religion

That was a really good documentary. I once heard a scientist say, and I'm paraphrasing but I'll still put it in quotes so as to not take credit for it, "The idea behind creationism is that something or someone created the universe. For something to be created, it must be inherently less complex than the creator. To imagine that there is something more complex than the infinitely complex universe is, to me, unreasonable." Although it leans a little left, I found the questions and doubt put forth in "Religulous" to be very edifying and thought provoking, regardless of how you feel about the questions raised or his opinions/feelings on religion.

I wouldn't say I believe in every religion is true, but I believe in God without any doubts. I have my reasons. I believe God is always the truth though there are some things that I think are true about Science, but not all is correct. It's called human error, and it can happen.

Actually it can be the other way around as well, but I am sure that Richard Dawkins says the same thing in his book the good delusion and in several speeches!
