I don't mind slang, lolspeak and abbreviations but sometimes there are words that are spelled right but used wrong. For example, I see verbs that people avoid conjugating to the proper tense simply because they forget how:
"i was attack by my dog. It left scars. " *attacked "every1 said my hair look like second generation of dudes from Alice Nine" *looked |

I want to live forever, or die trying.

I must admit that I forget the ed, ing, er, etc., rather frequently. Most of the times I'm just thinking about something else while writing.

Not really, not as much as extreme bad spelling or misuse of vocabulary terms.

Yes I do, 90% of the time.
Call me what you want, but if you want to be respected you gotta learn how to use grammar. |

No I could care less, unless it's like what Mangasurf is speaking of.
I do not understand why people devote their time being grammar nazis, and being concerned with others. Unless I am getting paid as an editor, I will not touch or correct anyone's grammar. That is someone else's job, and if you want to do unpaid work, fine by you, but I will have no part of it. And grammar nazis especially irritate me on the internet. You have many users who are new to English, and English speakers need to accept that the English language is one of the most difficult languages to learn. There are too many variations of words and we are too wordy in our speech too. So if someone is using you're, your, its, it's, them, their, they're I let them be. If I am able to readily grasp what they mean, it does not bother me. I only care about my own grammar and writing. And truthfully on CR it isn't a top priority for me to always be grammatically correct. |

I feel that's up to my country's educational system to teach its citizens proper word usage...not mine.
In other words, I don't make a big deal out of it. |

I have this thing for chocolate. I think I may have a problem...don't judge me.

Yes I agree English is a very difficult language, but I think native English speakers shouldn't be given a free pass to be careless and lazy. If you spend time on forums and a large part of your day is spent writing put some care into it. Encountering bad use of grammar and spelling when they are perfectly capable of doing it right, is like talking to someone face to face and something tells you they don't care about your time and your words.

No if I didn't have any interest in this topic than I couldn't care less. But since I posted, that indicates, albeit small, degree of caring on my end. So yes, I really could care less about correcting someone else's grammar; because otherwise I can not care at all. |

Like here on crunchyroll i can write however i please, and if it pisses off grammar nazis... then i have done my job well. abnsdgasdlbasdgsaidaskjhdas;dgadgsa;dj ~!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!1!! feels good. Writing to my full potential makes me feel like an arrogant prick anyway when im on here. |
