Hahaa i honestly dont give a fuck about my run on sentences or any way im writing and yea i did know about the dude back then..this is for those that doesn't

yea maybe we may not gain anything. your right that is the problem wit ethical issues like this one because the worlds government is to god damn worried about hurtin there pockets and your talking about people gettin hurt for and actual cause then people get hurt for no apparent reason i guess ur days wasnt that bright

scare tactics? haha i being utmost serious the guy has been doing it for 20 years wat makes you think that he couldnt stroll in to ur country or mine and remember it doesnt necessarily has to be the man himself do wat he does

buh listen i completely understand where your comming from buh We are lucky to be born in a high tech and highly educated society, but we always get overwhelmed on what we have and we never care about whats going on on the other side of the world the whole point of KONY 2012 is to get people attention and show what WE can do for the world, for the people whos really unlucky who were born in these kind of society. And you and anybody else that just masturbating cant take a slight interest beside urself when there is a kid prob who is getting killed in Uganda right now then less likely someone gettin killed on my block or your area

I'll humor you, let's say that WE the people some how manage to help the entire region, the warlords are removed, poverty is mostly gone, stability is introduced and some form of "peace" happens, what then? It would end up being a second would country/region and if an ideal situation came about, it would want to expand and aim to become a first wold area.
Great, the only problem is, it requires resources to make that leap like; fuel, mineral ores, wood and money, to get those resources would require safe shipping (land and sea) routes, it would require vast logging operations to provide wood for construction and fuel, that would mean a release of carbon into the atmosphere which would drastically contribute to global warming, the consumption of fossil fuels would further deplete the worlds reserves. As the region develops a middle class, there would be a greater demand for cheap goods which also require resources to produce and distribute and that further contributes to global warming.

The reason I bring this up is to prompt you to think of the future rather than the present, if you stop this guy someone else will take his place, if you stop everyone from taking that role then you need to stabilize the region, stabilizing the region requires a great volume of resources both internal and external, the influx of those resources will require you to help facilitate the country to provide for themselves or for you to indefinitely provide for them, if you help them to make themselves better then they will eventually want to grow, that growth will require more resources and land, acquiring the resources will further contribute to global warming, acquiring land will cause conflicts and so on.

Stopping this guy is great and all, but it will either be ineffective in the grand scheme of things, or will result in the region consuming more resources to better itself which shortens the span of time we have to combat global problem like global warming and depletion of fossil fuels.
Living in a third world country sucks compared to a first world country (that's an assumption), but if you try to improve the non-first world countries then it honestly fucks up the world for everybody, because we only have finite resources.

Didn't bother to click any links but where are the donations going toward? I have a feeling that the money isn't going to fund some private contractor to take out warlords in another country but instead into someone's pocket.

Can't see the US Military let alone any other country to send in their troops and expect their people to be happy that their money and people are being used in the hellhole known as Africa. Plus, leaders don't want bad PR for their country when a mistake happens (bombing civilians, etc.)

You'll also get those crazies to pop up and claim that we're really there to steal resources, occupy and setup a puppet government, or as the start toward being able to invade any country or nation in the world as long as there is a criminal hiding there.

Remember how most people (including people here on CR) got butthurt when we exercised our right to work with another country in order to arrest the founder of MU for engaging in illegal activities? It'll be just like that.

Before you decide to support this movement, have you really thought about it? It claims to be in support of "peace" and "humanitarianism" when it's calling forth war - a bloody pathway to achieve this. On top of that, you are supporting to kill child soldiers.

Did you, the supporters, look through the politics of this? Do you realize the efforts and money needed for America, as with other countries, to take down the man? I, for one, believe America's interventionism with other countries has brought many spite upon us and we should not get involved any more.

Yes, the man should be brought down, but that's up for the Uganda to decide for themselves.

The problem won't be solved just by bringing 'justice' to this man. What about the aftermath? The group will still remain, loyal followers will continue with the ideals of Joseph Kony. Do you people realize that the Taliban/Al Qaeda still exist even after America assassinated Osama Bid Laden?

And what if America truly intervenes? We're not just going to leave, we'll be setting up military bases there for "good purposes" when, in reality, we'll be taking their natural resources giving off the illusion of "protection."

The main agenda of releasing the video seems to be to raise public awareness of a criminal warlord in the hopes that doing so will increase the likelihood that he will be incarcerated. I don't think it was intended to be the all-in-one package solution to the issue, but a social media foot-in-the-door, and it seems to be serving that purpose rather well.

Wow!! That breaks your heart only to have it broken again (if you read the information provided)...It's so sad that there are people who would take a very awful situation and make it worse for their own gain....

That is how I am trying to take it as but if the claims on the link on the first page are correct IDK if it is a wise idea to give invisible Children money by sharing the video. Too bad the link is down right now (I checked about an hour ago) and while it has it's sources I would like to see other more reliable sources as well before I buy one or the other outright. It is still sad seeing as how I liked the idea that the video brought forth. Using Social Media to change the world to a better place.
