No. I do all those things and I am not a true fan. |

No. I do all those things and I am not a true fan. I see where you are coming from with this from your first post but I will say, if you do all of those things, many people will label you as an anime fan. You also have 4 anime convert stickers on your profile. Finishing four series in a month? Cmon .... JOIN US..... JOIN US ... LOL ...... jk .. jk If you enjoy anime but don't want to be called a fan then fine JUST ENJOY IT. I still don't see the harm in being a little fanatical over anime though, especially on an anime streaming site in the forums. Haters gonna hate yo, Keep calm and carry on (that was for you not for me, just fyi ... basically just keep doing what your doing and screw the labels). Thanks for supporting the anime industry my non-fan anime lover. |

Thanks for supporting the anime industry my non-fan anime lover. :)Ha, yeah. Spring break was awesome. Had three midterms right before it, and all the time in the world for one week. Like I said in the post, "fans" are just a bit of a bother to me. I had a lot of fun writing that post. I honestly don't mind it much -- just one of those things that bother me in real life, but once you get to the internet, becomes the downfall of society. Edit: Also, after reading your first reply, I do understand that fanaticism can be quite enjoyable from the standpoint of camaraderie. I find comrades more meaningful when found through means other than shared craze, but I get it, and truthfully, I'm kind of fine with it. It is pretty fun to discuss a cool series with someone and revel in the similar interest, but you don't need to be a fan to do that. Of course if two people share fanaticism, I guess that's a similar interest to discuss, which kind of screws my point. But to be clear, I'm fine with the existence of fanatics, just not the pride that one takes in being such. |
