well i believe that 1 of the reasons is premarital sex , many men get to experience sex with multiple women and then when he decides to get married , it becomes only one body type , one look , one personality , that diverse range of women is gone , the man will be subconciously stressed about that situation and finds comfort in cheating , that he can still have that diversity away from the eyes of his wife OR bad marriage OR a bad wife , once he meets an woman who treats him better than his wife and seems interested in him , he'll probably go for it

Ultimately? Physiology. It's in our genetic nature to try to propogate our species to the best of our ability. Monogamy is a fairly new concept so far as human history goes and would be considered completely proposterous if our population was low or facing extinction. Maintaining cultural and sociologocial norms is about the most challenging thing a member of the human race can attempt when it goes against our primal natures.

I would say women mature faster than men. And you are correct, it is a two way street.
My only thing is, whoever does the cheating is the one at fault, regardless. I mean you can have this guy/girl who does everything they can with their significant other but it will never be enough to that person for some reason.
Not sure if that makes much sense?
