There's this girl in my AP government class, she's smart, pretty, popular. she's got everything down. I just have a feeling we WON'T get a long. You know those people you know you just WON'T get a long with? I've noticed that she's snotty, and I have a bad feeling about her. My friends have to be care-free, funny, and nice c:

So...what qualifications do you look in people in order for them to become your friends? or what qualifications do your friends already have?

As long as they are capable of speech, I'm good.

Well, I generally gravitate towards people who are genuine. Who mean what that say and say what they mean. Creds to Horton.

Something that just drives me nuts is people who can't hold a conversation without going fishing for some kind of self affirmation and are trying to cover it up by beating around the bush. Like people saying "Not to brag, but I can do pretty much all kinds of blah blah blah..."

If you're going to be telling people what makes you so great, the least you can do is drop the fake modesty. Or make it clear that you're using fake modesty as a way of being ironic. Just tell people you're awesome and the following reasons are, -> whatever they may be. <-

Original, worthwhile people. Not the dime-a-dozen, factory stamped shitheads who plague this biosphere.

Anyone who can put up with me is considered a good friend in my book :-/

I tend to dismiss people bad qualities and focus on the good. The only people I'm hesitant about friending are those who are overly critical and negative about others. I like positive energy in my orbit, and I accept people who are negative, but do not try to poison my happy bubble. That is all.

If they are willing to take risks and not give up on anything . Not gravitate toward negative and look toward the positive . The people who are weirdest are best with me . The people who are considered "nerds" I will definitely hang out with .

Just need to send me a request on Facebook, then you can be my friend... on Facebook!
I tend not to judge too much, I've had people that I was absolutely certain I would not get along with be a very good friend and vice versa. Sometimes a little conflict is a good thing.

Since my real self is nightmarish-ly insane, my TRUE friends are the ones have seen my insanity and don't mind it, or keep coming back. The kind of people who will just roll with anything I do... and are not judgmental at all. And are always there, somehow (to get me out of scrapes, if they aren't too drunk themselves). I don't know how I got friends like that but I love them to bits and am truly appreciative of their existence. I need people who love me as much as I love them. Loyalty is the only thing I really need.

Normal friends are the kind of friends you can hold conversations with about anything in the world I guess.

I generally find myself among others who're just as weird and socially awkward as I am.

They certainly make the best friends don't they? ^_^

People may think it's strange for an extreme extrovert to be socially akward-No...it just means the akward encounters increases

True individuality and stands out from the crowd is what your saying. That's what I look for as well, but as you said it is mostly psychonuts that make up the majority sadly. Hard to find people who beat to their own drum in a society that considers individuality an offense.

When it comes to close friends it has to be reliability.
