You can find DVD copies of all my favorites except Trava Fist Planet and Ghibli Short Shorts (they are Japanese R2 DVD's). Other titles are either going or gone out print due to Bandai and Geneon downsizing. However, you might find some of them as used.

Mushishi is great relaxing show. Manga ends at vol.9 and Del Rey released vol. 7,8.and 9 into one book.

Pretty much everything out of Studio Ghibli is quality, guess I'll just have to hope for an American release if I want to see that one!!

Oh wow, there's that few manga?! That's something I might look into!! I'm currently re-watching the anime, I love the concept--been seein the mushi since I'm a kid. (High blood pressure? PAH! Just an excuse the doctor's tell us to keep us from catching on!!!)

I wish the US release Ghibli Short Shorts because it came about 4 years ago in Japan. I call it the other face of Ghibli. It's up to Disney to release it (maybe other companies could do it, but I don't know). Their short animations are mostly animated music videos and commercials which don't look like typical Ghibli films. Example would be "Space Station No.9", "Portable Airport", and House brand curry commercials.

Speaking of relaxation and blood pressure, I take doctor's advice seriously. Heck, I used to commute with bicycle 10 miles per day before I broke my shoulder.

Well Disney only releases what will improve their bottom line; the morals of Walt are long gone. Pixar seems to be the only division that still wavers along Walt's path... It almost surprises me every time I remember Disney does the American releases of Studio Ghibli projects--gotta hand it to them though, they are quite effective in mass advertising, and the Disney name being attached lures in a lot more viewers than probably any other name in film in America could do.

I don't usually have high blood pressure; I sure do right now! I do follow their instructions--that's what got me into this mess originally though!!! <.<

Bicycle 10 miles?? I'd be in the ocean or another county!! haha

I prefer to buy series I like. It is nice having your own copy without worrying about having an internet connection or loss of digital data. My collection takes up most of one room and is expanding since I decided to buy japanese import blurays of my favorite series, especially when they are digitally remastered in HD.

Was looking for Robotech DVD but I don't know where to start looking for one... actually I just want Macross (wish Bandai Visual would give the box license to someone).... not Robotech...

Anyway I wish someone would help me get rid of the Lucky Star DVD, Akira Blu-Ray and Nausicaa BD/DVD hybrid that I have...

I forgot to mention my CLANNAD Blu-Ray for $50 (it's dubbed unlike the box CLANNAD).

It's not the Bandai who has Macross rights in the US. If they did, they would've released Macross along with Gundam.

I don't know why you want to get rid of Lucky Star DVD, BD version of Akira and Nausicaa. Bandai is not doing physical media business in the US, so Lucky Star might become collectible in the future. Akira and Nausicaa are in latest video format.

And what's wrong with Clannad? It's in two languages, right?

Since I don't know anything about anime sellers in Netherlands, So what is it like over there?

As long as they're not pirated DVD's or merchandises (like ones from China and Southeast Asia), I have no problem with your buying habit.

Speaking of pirated merchandise, I remember a fan who collected whole bunch of anime CD's for US $15 each. Talk about getting ripped off... Even I bought a pirated Macross Plus CD when I thought it was real thing...

well like i say its pretty grim over here only very popular titles can be bought here in store's like dragonball z naruto bleach and funny enough i haven't seen one piece anywhere yet and you can get pokemon almost everywhere but i don't want to count that one ass an anime
and then you have some unknown titles like ghost in the shell and the big o that i found in a video library and thats about it
it can be that i have never found a good store where they sell anime but thats because they are very unknown if they even exist the best shop fore new games and animes that i know is future zone but like i said those have mostly things like dragon ball z thats about all i can tell you about how it is here in holland and last thing i can buy things online but it usually comes with very high transport cost so i cant do that

I prefer watching streams to watching discs but I still buy plenty of anime. I think HD streams on CR look better than DVD and on Netflix the difference between anime BDs and HD streams is negligible. Plus, it's quicker for me to load a CR stream than it is to load a DVD. I have an old laptop permanently hooked up to my TV so no matter what the source, I'm watching anime on the best audio-visual system in my house.

That's my collection. I need to buy a new shelf, but the prices of shelves seems to have skyrocketed since I purchased the one that I currently have. This one was like $20 or $30 at Wal-mart but I recently checked and the cheapest book shelf (I need that for the occasional massive NISA box) was like $80.
